Research Training Platform
The initiative aims to empower TAs and staff by providing cutting-edge knowledge and skills in teaching, research, quality assurance, and some clinical tips and tricks. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, and delivering high-quality, relevant, and up-to-date educational content that addresses the evolving needs of the dental school’s academic and clinical staff.
- Content Approval: Ensure that all uploaded courses, videos, and related materials meet the academic and professional standards of the dental school. Also making sure that a copyright approval is available or exempted.
- Coordination: Facilitate collaboration between the research unit, eLearning unit, and staff development unit to ensure alignment of the platform’s offerings with institutional goals.
- Quality Control: Regularly review and assess the quality of content, ensuring it is current, relevant, and effective in meeting the needs of TAs and staff. As well as to ensure the relevance of the course to the target group, whether TAs or staff or middle management or higher management and leaders.
- Content Selection: Identify and prioritize topics for courses, ensuring a balanced offering across educational methods, research, quality assurance, and clinical tips.
- Technical Oversight: Work with IT teams to ensure the platform is user-friendly, accessible, and reliable.
- User Support: Provide technical and content-related support to users, including troubleshooting, answering queries, and offering guidance on course navigation.
- Data Security: Ensure that all user data, including survey and quiz responses, are securely stored, and managed in compliance with institutional policies.
- User Engagement: Develop strategies to encourage the use of the platform by TAs and staff, including regular communication.
- Feedback Collection: Implement mechanisms for users to provide feedback on courses and the platform’s usability, which can be used to make continuous improvements.
- Usage Tracking: Monitor platform usage, including the number of users, course completion rates, and engagement with quizzes and surveys.
- Ensuring the delivery of certificates of achievement of each module or related courses.
