Program overview

It is a 12-18 month basic to advanced program running over three semesters. Each participant will carry out full treatments of ten cases including implant placement and their prosthetic rehabilitation. Implants as well as all clinical and laboratory supplies will be provided. The program will be run by distinguished Egyptian and German instructors of the specialty. All implant cases, prosthetic and laboratory materials, GBR materials, instruments and facilities for radiographic investigations will be provided by MIU hospital and are included in the fees. Each candidate will be trained under strict supervision(1 faculty: 1student, guided by a scientific committee, step by step until full completion of the clinical requirements and getting the permission to apply for the examination).

1^st Semester

1. Understand terminology, anatomical considerations and state types of dental implants and instrumentation.
   
   
2. Describe patient preparation for implant treatment.
   
   
3. Describe treatment planning and radiographic analysis needed for analysis for implant site.
   
   
4. Understand various infection control policies in Implant Dentistry.
   
   
5. Recognize principles of soft tissue management and simple augmentation procedures.
   
   
6. Understand basic principles of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

5. State indications of soft and hard tissue management and augmentation techniques for guided bone regeneration GBR.
   
   
6. Describe different impression techniques used in implant dentistry.

Drop / Withdrawal / Refunds

Candidates who intend to drop/withdraw from a credit course must notify the Office of Continuing Education on the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine Campus in writing or e-mail,a verbal notice is not sufficient.
