INJAZ Egypt Innovation Camp

At the Innovation Camp, university students gather to collaboratively address a specific business challenge and come up with ideas to solve the challenge using leadership, critical-thinking and team-work skills. The program is an enriching experience for students as they are introduced to the Business Model Canvas and are divided into teams that compete against each other in a business challenge. This challenge requires students to propose a solution within a very limited time frame, given access to specific tools, information and resources. Throughout the program, students develop their interpersonal as well as problem-solving skills and learn to work under very tight deadlines using the available market resources innovatively.

INJAZ Egypt I Camp workshop will be held on April 27th, 2015 from 10 am to 4 pm in room OOA.

Prof. Paurav Shukla Visit

Professor Paurav Shukla is visiting the Faculty of Business Administration and International Trade between October 2 and October 12, 2015. He is professor of Luxury Brand Marketing, Glasgow School for Business & Society, Glasgow Caledonian University, London, UK.
Professor Shukla possesses wide range of industry and academic experience. He has to his credit articles and research papers published and presented at national and international level conferences and seminars. He also serves as a track chair for the Marketing in Emerging and Transitioning Economies for the EMAC conference.
During his visit, Professor Shukla will contribute to teaching various topics to marketing major students mainly in three courses: Strategic Marketing, Brand Management, and Consumer Behavior.

“Becoming an Entrepreneur” Seminar by Eng. Mohamed Farag

Misr International University hosted guest speaker Eng. Mohamed Farag, Founder and CEO of Egyptian Swedish Air Conditioning Co. on Monday, April 24th, 2017 to hold a seminar entitled “Becoming an Entrepreneur” for business major students.

The seminar discussed the different types of entrepreneurship and the process of becoming a successful entrepreneur. Eng. Farag exhibited real life examples of global successful entrepreneurs and stressed on the importance of entrepreneurship for Egypt’s economic development.

“Becoming an Entrepreneur” seminar

“Becoming an Entrepreneur” That was the title of the third seminar organized by the Department of Management and Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration and International Trade. The session was conducted on Monday 22nd October, 2018 by Eng Mohamed Farag, Founder and CEO of Egyptian Swedish Air Conditioning Co.
As a successful entrepreneur, Eng Farag defined who is an entrepreneur and the different types of entrepreneurship. He gave real life examples of global successful entrepreneurs and confirmed the importance of entrepreneurship for Egypt’s economic development. Eng Farag illustrated the required stages to become a successful entrepreneur and to start the entrepreneurial career. The discussion was enriched by highlighting the importance of a sustainable business as well as the various challenges and opportunities to become an entrepreneur.

“How Giants play Digital Marketing “

On Monday 19th November 2018 the Faculty of Business Administration and International Trade, Marketing Department, hosted Mr. Peter Kozman,. Digital Marketing Manager for KFC, Americana, MENA region.
Mr. Kozman gave a lecture to the Marketing students on “How Giants play Digital Marketing “. He highlighted the difference between E-commerce, Digital media, Social media and PR using thought-provoking real life examples of failures and successes of big companies.

HR Workshops for MIU Management-major Students

As Misr International University constantly aspires to provide its students with the best academic and practical knowledge and experience, the Faculty of Business Administration and International Trade organized three workshops for its management-major students.

The first workshop was entitled “Driving Business Results with Talent Management” instructed by Dr. Magued Naguib on Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 and it tackled competency–based job analysis as well as talent acquisition, development, identification and retention.

The second workshop was on Tuesday, February 27th under the title of “HR Policies and Procedures” by Dr. Salah El Reffai, as he discussed why businesses need HR policies and procedures, the general definition of policy and procedure, and developing a policy or a procedure.

Finally, the third workshop was entitled “Basics Finance for HR Professional” by Mr. Wael Abdel Kader on Tuesday, March 7th, 2017, as Mr. Abdel Kader explained the role of shareholders, partners, businessmen, investors, financial analysts, etc.

Prof. Birud Sindhav

Between February 17th and March 2nd, 2018, Prof. Birud Sindhav visited the Faculty of Business Administration and International Trade. Professor Sindhav is Associate Professor of Marketing, University of Nebraska at Omaha, USA. Prof. His work is published in  top marketing publications such as International Journal of Management Research, Journal of Marketing Channels, and Journal of Cases on Information Technology.

During his visit, Prof. Sindhav gave lectures in three marketing-major  areas: Services Marketing, International Marketing and Marketing Strategy. He enriched the classes with his wide range of industry and academic expertise. Students benefited a great deal from such outstanding researcher and excellent instructor.

“Career Path and Succession Planning”

On Monday 26th November, 2018, a workshop on “Career Path and Succession Planning” was held by the Department of Management, Faculty of Business Administration and International Trade. The workshop was presented by Dr Nabil El Hady and it was attended by 40 students.
The workshop aimed at providing Business students with knowledge and applications about the business succession planning & its role in the organization. The workshop provided the students with the groundwork for developing a succession plan, learning to use a SWOT analysis, creating a plan, assigning roles & executing the plan. It also provided the basics for learning to anticipate obstacles in order to re-evaluate goals and to focus on progress.

Management Workshop Series Continue

Misr International University’s Management Department organized two workshops entitled “Career Path & Succession Planning” and “Compensation & Benefits” on November 22, 2016 for Business students.
The “Career Path & Succession Planning” workshop was conducted by Dr. Salah El Reffai, where he discussed how to use a SWOT analysis to set goals and define business succession planning.
While the “Compensation & Benefits” workshop was conducted by Dr. Magued Naguib, as he tackled how to establish a strategic pay plan and design an effective performance-based incentive plan.
