iTranslate Group recently hosted a two-day workshop titled “Translating Legal Documents using CAT Tools,” focusing on practical applications of SDL Trados Studio. The workshop was held online in December 2024, for 3^rd and 4^th year Alsun students.

The 31 participants gained hands-on experience translating contracts and developed their skills in analyzing legal terminology and structure, building and managing translation memories and ensuring accuracy and cultural sensitivity in legal documents. 

Participants received certificates of completion, marking their readiness to tackle real-world legal documents with confidence.

استضافت شركة iTranslate للترجمة ورشة عمل لمدة يومين بعنوان “ترجمة الوثائق القانونية باستخدام أدوات الترجمة بمساعدة الحاسوب”، مع التركيز على التطبيقات العملية لبرنامج SDL Trados Studio. أقيمت الورشة عبر الإنترنت في ديسمبر 2024، لطلاب السنة الثالثة والرابعة في قسم الألسن.
اكتسب 31 مشاركًا في ورشة العمل الخبرة العملية في ترجمة العقود وطوروا مهاراتهم في تحليل المصطلحات القانونية وبنيتها وبناء وإدارة ذاكرات الترجمة وضمان الدقة والحساسية الثقافية في الوثائق القانونية.
حصل المشاركون على شهادات إتمام ورشة العمل دليلًا على استعدادهم للتعامل مع الوثائق القانونية في سوق العمل بثقة.

Committed to innovative teaching methods, Al-Alsun Department in a recent Postmodern Literature class engaged students in a VR experience that brought complex literary concepts to life. By interacting with avatars and discussing key postmodern ideas, students gained a deeper understanding of topics like decentralization, the Chinese box technique, and relativity. This approach not only made learning more engaging but also facilitated active participation and critical thinking.

تكنولوجيا الواقع الافتراضي في مقرر أدب ما بعد الحداثة

قام قسم الألسن في إحدى محاضرات مقرر أدب ما بعد الحداثة بإشراك الطلاب في تجربة الواقع الافتراضي التي جلبت المفاهيم الأدبية المعقدة إلى الحياة. باستخدام تكنولوجيا الواقع الافتراضي ومناقشة أفكار ما بعد الحداثة الرئيسية اكتسب الطلاب فهمًا أعمق لموضوعات مثل اللامركزية وتقنية الصندوق الصيني والنسبية. وعزز هذا النهج المشاركة النشطة والتفكير النقدي.

On Thursday December 12th, 2024, a group of 32 senior students went on an educational trip to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Giza, the largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated for one civilization. The museum is unique in its presentation of the whole history of Egyptian civilization, especially of antiquities of the Pharaonic and Greco-Roman periods, displaying more than 100,000 artifacts of Egypt’s ancient treasures.

This trip is part of the students’ graduation project, which involves crafting fictional stories inspired by ancient Egyptian figures, myths and legends. The GEM trip has not only enriched the students’ understanding of Egypt’s rich heritage but also deeply inspired their creative writing.

زيارة طلاب الألسن للمتحف المصري الكبير

انطلقت يوم الخميس 12 ديسمبر 2024 مجموعة مكونة من 32 طالبًا من طلاب السنة الرابعة في قسم الألسن في رحلة تعليمية إلى المتحف المصري الكبير بالجيزة، وهو أكبر متحف أثري في العالم مخصص لحضارة واحدة. وينفرد المتحف في عرضه لتاريخ الحضارة المصرية بأكمله وخاصةً آثار العصرين الفرعوني واليوناني الروماني حيث يعرض أكثر من 100 ألف قطعة أثرية من كنوز مصر القديمة.
وتأتي هذه الرحلة كجزء من متطلبات مشروع التخرج الذي يتضمن صياغة قصص خيالية مستوحاة من الشخصيات والأساطير المصرية القديمة. لم تؤد الرحلة إلى إثراء فهم الطلاب لتراث مصر الغني فحسب بل ألهمت أيضًا كتاباتهم الإبداعية.

Misr International University (MIU), in collaboration with the DAAD Kairo Akademie (DKA), hosted a workshop titled “AI in Higher Education” on Monday, December 9, 2024. The event aimed to explore the potential of AI in enhancing the quality of education.

Ms. Yasmin Youssef, a certified education & ICT expert for interactive education technology, facilitated the workshop which was attended by 29 faculty members and assistant lecturers from the Faculties of Al-Alsun & Mass Communication, Business Administration and Pharmacy.

The workshop marks a milestone in advancing MIU’s educational approach as the participants acquired hands-on experience in using AI tools to clarify concepts for students and carry out research while maintaining ethical and academic integrity.

سعيًا لتعزيز استخدام التكنولوجيا في تحسين جودة التعلم نظمت جامعة مصر الدولية بالتعاون مع الهيئة الألمانية للتبادل الأكاديمي (DAAD) ورشة عمل بعنوان “الذكاء الاصطناعي في مؤسسات التعليم العالي” يوم الإثنين 9 ديسمبر 2024.
حضر ورشة العمل 29 مشاركًا من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والمدرسين المساعدين بكليات الألسن والإعلام وإدارة الأعمال والصيدلة وأدارتها الأستاذة ياسمين يوسف، الخبيرة المعتمدة في التعليم وتكنولوجيا الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا التعليم التفاعلي.
ورشة العمل هذه تمثل خطوة مهمة في تطوير نهج جامعة مصر الدولية التعليمي حيث اكتسب المشاركون خبرة عملية في استخدام أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي لتوضيح المفاهيم للطلاب وإجراء الأبحاث مع الحفاظ على النزاهة الأخلاقية والأكاديمية.
