Bachelor of Pharmacy
Curricular Philosophy
In keeping with the mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy, our overarching curricular philosophy is to provide a strong professional program with a balanced foundation in basic, biomedical, pharmaceutical and social sciences that advance to pharmaco-therapeutic knowledge and pharmacy practice experiences. The faculty of pharmacy expedites students’ effective academic development through a variety of instructional, experiential and assessment strategies.
Moreover, the faculty embraces and employs a diversity of teaching approaches that combine active learning strategies with traditional didactic teaching, complemented by an effective online teaching milieu, and up-to-date laboratories to augment students’ problem- solving skills and the pursuit of lifelong learning. Conversely, the didactic foundation principles provided are validated by structured hands-on practice experiences gained along the professional years. This experiential program enriches graduates with the required competencies and professional attitudes to proficiently practice and become socially accountable leaders capable of meeting local and global needs in diverse fields of the pharmacy profession.
