Career Guidance Session
The Faculty of Computer Science organized a Career Guidance session on December 12 as part of the faculty’s limitless efforts to raise students’ awareness of the possible career tracks.
The session was organized in cooperation with ITWORX Senior Corporate Communications Specialist, Eng. Moheeb Fouda. Eng. Fouda motivated the audience by informing them about the work environment and life inside ITWORX.
Engineer Arwa Hatem, Senior BI Quality Engineer in ITWORX, aimed to close the gap between the market needs and academic success by advising students about the possible field-related career paths and the knowledge and skills needed accordingly.
Cloud Computing Data Center Seminar
Misr International University hosted a Cloud Computing Data Center seminar on Monday, April 24th 2017 from 11:30-1:15 in Room NA6 for MIU Computer Science staff and students. The seminar guest speaker was Eng. Alfred George, the Cloud Computing Consultant at Huawei North Africa Regional Office.
Agile Development for Enterprise seminar
Misr International University organized a seminar for Computer Science staff and students entitled “Agile Development for Enterprise” It was held on Monday, April 3rd 2017 from 11:30-1:15 in Room NA6. The seminar guest speaker was Eng. Eman Mostafa, Senior Project Leader and an Agile Software Development Expert at ITWORX.
Entrepreneurship Seminar
Misr International University hosted a seminar entitled ‘How I Climbed my Mountains’ for MIU Computer Science staff and students on Monday, March 13th, 2017 from 11:00t- 1:30 in Room 00A.
The guest speaker was Eng. Ayman Rashed, Managing Director of IT- Blocks. Eng. Ayman started his first venture “Otlob.com”; a food home-delivery portal, one of the earliest success stories of the dot com booms in Egypt. The magic startup was sold after 7 months of operations for an undisclosed amount.
Open Source ERP Solutions Seminar
Misr International University hosted a seminar for MIU Computer Science staff and students on Monday, March 3rd, 2017. The guest speaker was Eng. Ahmed Shaaban Abbas, Odoo Functional Consultant & PMP Trainer. Eng. Ahmed discussed “ERP: ODOO Open Source ERP solutions”.
“Game Development Using Unity Framework” Seminar
Misr International University hosted a seminar for MIU Computer Science staff and students on Monday, Feb 27th, 2017. The guest speaker was Eng. Walid Khairy Abdel-Samie, Game Developer at Tamatem. Eng. Walid discussed “Game Development Using Unity Framework”.
Career Advising Seminar
Misr International University hosted a Career Advising seminar for MIU Computer Science staff and students on Thursday, March 9th 2017 from 3:00 – 4:30 in Room 311.
The guest speaker was Eng. Mostafa Farouk, Unit Director of Power Up Training Centers, a training sector of the Gulf Training Company which has the ownership rights of the international New Horizon Training Centers in Egypt.
Agile Development Seminar
Misr International University hosted a seminar entitled “Agile Development” for MIU Computer Science staff and students on Monday, April 3rd, 2017. The seminar was held in Room NA6 and lasted from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The guest speaker was Eng. Eman Mostafa, Managing Director of IT- Blocks. Eng. Eman Mostafa is a Senior Project Leader and an Agile Software Development Subject Matter Expert at ITWORX. She has 16 years of experience in the field of management development and testing applications and products using Microsoft technologies for government and enterprise entities. Eng Eman is a Certified Scrum Master, and has been practicing Agile software development for 3 years.
Introduction to Cloud Computing Data Center Seminar
On Monday, April 24th, 2017, Misr International University hosted a seminar entitled “Introduction to Cloud Computing Data Center” for MIU Computer Science staff and students.
The guest speaker was Eng. Alfred George, Cloud Computing Consultant at Huawei North Africa regional office. The seminar tackled recent trends in cloud computing and big data centers in the enterprise.
