The Quality Assurance Unit at Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine organized a workshop entitled “‏Reviewing Course Files According to the International Accreditation Standards “on Sunday, November 17, 2024.

The workshop was presented by Prof. Dr.Marwa Mokbal – Head of Internal Audit Committee and Prof. Dr. Hanaa Gamal – Executive Director, Quality Assurance Unit.

The workshop was attended by 10 members of the Internal Audit Committee of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine.

The trainees’ satisfaction with the workshop was 98%.

نظمت وحدة ضمان الجودة بكلية طب الفم والأسنان ورشة عمل بعنوان ” تقويم ملفات المقررات وفقًا لمتطلبات الاعتماد الدولى” وذلك في يوم الأحد السابع عشر من نوفمبر 2024.

قام بتقديم ورشة العمل الأستاذ الدكتور/ مروة مقبل – رئيس لجنة المراجعة الداخلية ، الأستاذ الدكتور / هناء جمال – المدير التنفيذى لوحدة ضمان الجودة بالكلية.

حضر ورشة العمل عدد (10) من أعضاء لجنة المراجعة الداخلية بكلية طب الفم والأسنان.

وبلغت نسبة رضا المتدربين عن ورشة العمل 98 %.

Computer Science Students Visit Cairo ICT 2024

The Faculty of Computer Science organized a trip for the students to visit the 28th edition of Cairo ICT. ICT, the premier technology exhibition and conference for the Middle East and Africa, was held on 17 – 20 November at Egypt Exhibition Center, New Cairo. The students attended three valuable sessions entitled:

Science & Technology Parks & Their Importance to National Economy

Cairo ICT is the leading platform for technological advancements in the Middle East and Africa. This year, under the theme “The Next Wave,” ICT continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible, showcasing the latest technologies and exploring future trends.

طلاب كلية المعلومات والحاسبات يزورون معرض Cairo ICT 2024

نظمت كلية المعلومات والحاسبات رحلة للطلاب لزيارة النسخة الثامنة والعشرين من معرض القاهرة الدولي لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات (Cairo ICT) تحت إشراف أعضاء هيئة التدريس بالكلية. يُعد Cairo ICT المعرض والمؤتمر التكنولوجي الرائد في الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا، وقد أُقيم في الفترة من 17 إلى 20 نوفمبر بمركز مصر للمعارض الدولية في القاهرة الجديدة.

حضر الطلاب ثلاث جلسات قيمة بعنوان:


● AI & Decision-Making: Opportunities & Risks in Relying on Machines
● Big Data Analytics & Business Intelligence
● Science & Technology Parks & Their Importance to National Economy

يُعد معرض القاهرة الدولي لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات المنصة الرائدة للتقدم التكنولوجي في الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا. وجاءت نسخة هذا العام تحت شعار “الموجة التالية”، حيث واصل المعرض دفع حدود الممكن، من خلال عرض أحدث التقنيات واستكشاف الاتجاهات المستقبلية.

تضمنت فعاليات Cairo ICT ميزات خاصة منها:
– لقاء المستشارين: اجتماعات مستمرة مخصصة للتوفيق بين الاستشاريين المحليين والإقليميين لمناقشة أحدث الاتجاهات وكيفية تبنيها.
– قمة مديري تكنولوجيا المعلومات (CIO Summit): مع التطور السريع لدور مديري تكنولوجيا المعلومات، تُركز القمة على توفير رؤى قابلة للتنفيذ، استكشاف تقنيات جديدة، وبناء اتصالات مستدامة لمواجهة التحديات وقيادة المؤسسات.

Faculty of Business Administration Held an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Workshop

Faculty of Business Administration held an Artificial Intelligence (AI) workshop for the Business Intelligence students and Faculty Staff on two successive days 13th and 14th of November. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Andrew Labib & Mr. Peter Ibrahim, AI technology experts. The focus was on crafting high-quality prompts to optimize results from various AI applications. Students were introduced to over 15 AI tools across different domains, including data analysis and content creation. To solidify their learning, they undertook a comprehensive capstone project. This involved developing a practical project idea and then using the acquired AI skills to bring it to life. The goal was to create projects that could benefit the community.

عقدت كلية إدارة الأعمال ورشة عمل حول الذكاء الاصطناعي

عقدت كلية إدارة الأعمال ورشة عمل لاستخدام أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي لطلبة وأعضاء هيئة التدريس في قسم ذكاء الأعمال على مدار يومين متتاليين 13 و14 نوفمبر. أدار الورشة أ. أندرو لبيب وأ. بيتر إبراهيم وهما خبيران في تكنولوجيا الذكاء الاصطناعي. وتم تدريب الطلاب على كيفية عمل (Prompt) صحيح وكتابته ليحصلوا على أفضل النتائج من أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي وتدرب الطلاب على استخدام أكثر من ١٥ أداة من أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي في مختلف المجالات مثل تحليل البيانات وصناعة المحتوي وغيرها. وفي نهاية الورشة قام المشاركون بعمل مشروع كامل بفكرة عملية ودعمها بالأدوات التي تعلموها خلال الورشة لتطبيق وتنفيذ أفكارهم التي تساعد المجتمع.

MIUCC24 – Faculty of Computer Sciences Fourth International Conference

The Faculty of Computer Science at Misr International University organized the 4th International Intelligent and Ubiquitous Computing Conference (MIUCC24). MIUCC24 was held, in a hybrid manner, on November 13-14, 2024, under the sponsorship of IEEE.

Researchers were invited to contribute to the conference by submitting articles that illustrate research results, projects, surveys, and industrial experiences that describe significant advances along several tracks. A total of 110 papers were submitted and reviewed by the technical committee comprising Egyptian and international reviewers. The committee accepted 69 papers to be included in MIUCC24.

The MIUCC24 provided an international forum for sharing knowledge on theories, methodologies, and applications of the significant computer science disciplines. This conference aimed to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and the industry to focus on understanding recent concepts and establishing new collaborations in major computer science areas.

The conference included several keynote speeches by distinguished speakers from the industry, academia, and government sectors. The event also included panels and forums, sessions featuring technical papers, workshops focusing on the latest trends in various technologies, and tutorials delivered by experts in respective disciplines as well as exhibits, and a relaxing and entertaining banquet.

All accepted papers will be published in IEEE Xplore. Congratulations to all authors who contributed to MIUCC24!

المؤتمر الدولي الرابع لكلية علوم الحاسب الآلي

نظمت كلية المعلومات والحاسبات بجامعة مصر الدولية المؤتمر الدولي الرابع للحوسبة الذكية والشاملة (MIUCC24) في يومي 13 و14 نوفمبر 2024. عُقد MIUCC24 بصيغة هجينة تحت رعاية IEEE.

دُعي الباحثون للمشاركة في المؤتمر من خلال تقديم أبحاث تعرض نتائج أبحاث ومشروعات واستطلاعات وتجارب صناعية تصف تطورات كبيرة في عدة مسارات. تلقى المؤتمر 110 بحث تم تقييمها من قبل اللجنة الاكاديمية التي تضم مراجعين مصريين ودوليين. وقد قبلت اللجنة 69 ورقة بحثية ليتم تضمينها في MIUCC24.

وفر MIUCC24 منتدى دوليًا لتبادل المعرفة حول النظريات والمنهجيات وتطبيقات التخصصات الرئيسية في علوم وهندسة الحاسب. هدف المؤتمر إلى جمع الباحثين والممارسين من الأوساط الأكاديمية والصناعية للتركيز على فهم المفاهيم الحديثة وإقامة شراكات جديدة في مجالات علوم الحاسب الرئيسية.

تضمن المؤتمر العديد من الكلمات الرئيسية التي ألقاها متحدثون بارزون من القطاع الصناعي والأكاديمي والحكومي. كما شمل المؤتمر جلسات نقاش ومنتديات، وجلسات لعرض الأوراق التقنية، وورش عمل ركزت على أحدث الاتجاهات في مختلف تقنيات الحاسبات، ودروسًا تعليمية قدمها خبراء في المجالات المعنية، بالإضافة إلى معارض وحفل عشاء مريح وممتع.

تهانينا لجميع المؤلفين الذين ساهموا في MIUCC24. سيتم نشر جميع الأوراق المقبولة في مكتبة IEEE Xplore.

Al-Alsun Students Visit “Forever is Now” Art Exhibition at Giza Pyramids

Students from the Computer-Assisted Translation course visited the “Forever is Now” contemporary art exhibition held at the Giza Pyramids with the aim of creating a “Bilingual Digital Guide”, enhancing their copywriting and translation skills. 

Students explored the artwork and installations, documenting the trip through photos and interviews with both artists and curators. This offered them a unique opportunity to admire the blend of ancient history and modern art and gain a deeper understanding of the cultural significance of the Pyramids of Giza.

قام طلاب مقرر “الترجمة بمساعدة الكمبيوتر” بزيارة معرض الفن المعاصر الذي أقيم في أهرامات الجيزة بهدف كتابة دليل رقمي باللغة العربية والإنجليزية لتعزيز مهاراتهم في كتابة النصوص والترجمة.
استكشف الطلاب الأعمال الفنية في المعرض وقاموا بتوثيق الرحلة من خلال الصور والمقابلات مع الفنانين. وقد أتاح لهم ذلك فرصة لاكتساب فهم أعمق للأهمية الثقافية لأهرامات الجيزة.

Al-Alsun Students Step into Ibsen’s World Through Augmented Reality (AR)

Through the integration of AR technology, students enrolled in the “Survey of English Literature II” course had the opportunity to explore classic literature in a dynamic and interactive way. Using the innovative game Play the Knave, students took on the roles of characters from Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House and performed key scenes through animated avatars, bringing the play’s dramatic moments to life.

By choosing their own avatars and performing scenes, students were able to creatively embody the characters and explore the themes of the play in a modern and technologically enhanced setting.

من خلال دمج تقنية الواقع المعزز أتيحت للطلاب المسجلين في مقرر “دراسة الأدب الإنجليزي 2” الفرصة لاستكشاف الأدب الكلاسيكي بطريقة تفاعلية. باستخدام اللعبة المبتكرة Play the Knave تولى الطلاب أدوار شخصيات من مسرحية A Doll’s House لهنريك إبسن وقاموا بتمثيل المشاهد الرئيسية في المسرحية.

“The Art and Science of Direct Aesthetic Restorations” Workshop Engages Dentistry Interns

The Internship Administration Office, in collaboration with the Purchase Committee, organized an insightful and interactive workshop titled “The Art and Science of Direct Aesthetic Restorations” for 28 interns at the university. The workshop was held on Thursday, November 7, 2024,

The event kicked off with an engaging lecture held in the Internship Seminar Room, where participants were introduced to the latest techniques and innovations in the field of direct aesthetic restorations. Following the lecture, the interns moved to Clinical Laboratories (CL1) and 2 (CL2) for a hands-on session, where they had the opportunity to apply their newly acquired knowledge in a practical setting.

During the workshop, the interns explored various key topics, including the principles of esthetic restorations, material selection for direct fillings, and advanced techniques for achieving natural-looking results. Experts in the field guided participants through step-by-step processes, helping them understand how to balance both functional and aesthetic considerations in restorative dentistry. Finally, a questionnaire was distributed to the interns to evaluate the workshop. The satisfaction rate was 100%.

The workshop aimed to enhance the interns’ practical skills and deepen their understanding of the art and science behind direct aesthetic restorations, preparing them for real-world challenges in dental practice.

This event marks a continued effort by the university to provide valuable educational opportunities and foster professional growth for its interns in the dental field.

ورشة عمل بعنوان “فن وعلم الترميمات الجمالية المباشرة” تفاعل خلالها اطباء الامتياز في الجامعة

في يوم الخميس 7 نوفمبر 2024، نظمت إدارة التدريب بالتعاون مع لجنة الشراء ورشة عمل تفاعلية ومثرية بعنوان “فن وعلم الترميمات الجمالية المباشرة” لـ 28 متدربًا في الجامعة.

بدأ الحدث بمحاضرة شيقة في قاعة الندوات الخاصة بالتدريب، حيث تم تعريف المشاركين بأحدث التقنيات والابتكارات في مجال الترميمات الجمالية المباشرة. وبعد المحاضرة، انتقل المتدربون إلى المعامل السريرية (CL1) و (CL2) لجلسة عملية، حيث أتيحت لهم الفرصة لتطبيق معارفهم المكتسبة حديثًا في بيئة عملية..

خلال الورشة، استعرض المتدربون عددًا من المواضيع الرئيسية، بما في ذلك مبادئ الترميمات الجمالية، واختيار المواد للحشوات المباشرة، والتقنيات المتقدمة للحصول على نتائج تبدو طبيعية. وقام الخبراء في المجال بتوجيه المشاركين خلال العمليات خطوة بخطوة، مما ساعدهم على فهم كيفية تحقيق التوازن بين الجوانب الوظيفية والجمالية في طب الأسنان الترميمي. وفي ختام الورشة، تم توزيع استبيان لتقييم الورشة، وقد كانت نسبة الرضا 100%.

تهدف الورشة إلى تعزيز المهارات العملية للمتدربين وتعميق فهمهم لفن وعلم الترميمات الجمالية المباشرة، مما يعدهم للتحديات الواقعية في ممارسات طب الأسنان.

A Visit to Al-Mashhadi School, Sharqia Governate

The Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee, Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, participated in a field trip to Al-Mashhadi school in Sharqia governate on Thursday 14th of November 2024. A group of six female and male interns, Vice-Dean of Community Services and Environmental Affairs & Director of Internship Program from the faculty, Coordinator of Community Services and Environmental Affairs, three staff members from pedodontics department, three of the team of internship administration and a representative from the FDI joined the trip.

During the community service visit, the group engaged with 60 students and 20 teachers to promote dental awareness. This initiative, supported by the FDI, aimed to educate participants on the importance of oral hygiene and provide them with essential dental care tools. The interns held interactive sessions, using visual aids and demonstrations to make the information engaging and accessible. They emphasized proper brushing techniques, the benefits of daily dental care, and ways to prevent common oral health issues. Students, teachers, and school supervisors received dental hygiene kits containing a toothbrush and toothpaste, provided by FDI. Teachers and students were encouraged to incorporate dental health reminders into their routines.

The interns also had a great time visiting Kafr Gomaa, renowned as the oldest pottery factory, where they learned about the traditional pottery-making techniques used by the local people.

A questionnaire was distributed to the schoolteachers to evaluate the visit. Feedback from the school community was overwhelmingly positive. Both students and teachers expressed gratitude for the awareness program which successfully raised awareness for dental health’s significance. Another questionnaire was given to interns and staff members participating to evaluate the visit and its outcome, and the satisfaction rate was 100%.

فعاليات الزيارة الميدانية لمدرسة المشهدي في الشرقية

قامت لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بكلية طب الفم والأسنان بزيارة ميدانية إلى مدرسة المشهدي بمحافظة الشرقية بالإشتراك مع كلية الصيدلة يوم الخميس 14 نوفمبر 2024.

شارك في الزيارة السيد وكيل الكلية لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة والسيد مقرر لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة وممثل عن الإتحاد الدولي لطب الأسنان (FDI) وعضو هيئة تدريس من قسم طب أسنان الأطفال والصحة العامة والتقويم وإثنين من المعاونين بالقسم وكذلك ثلاثة أعضاء من فريق إدارة تدريب أطباء الإمتياز للإشراف على ستة من طبيبات وأطباء الامتياز ،وقد عرض أطباء الامتياز خلال الزيارة الطريقة المناسبة لتنظيف الأسنان.

تم عمل توعية للتلاميذ بالمدرسة وكذلك للسادة المعلمين والمشرفين بالمدرسة بكيفية الحفاظ على صحة الفم والأسنان وتم توزيع 150 فرشاة ومعجون أسنان على التلاميذ ومدرسين المدرسة وتم دعوتهم للكشف وتلقي العلاج بالمجان بجميع تخصصات طب الأسنان في مجمع عيادات الأسنان بالجامعة.

تم توزيع استبيانات على معلمين المدرسه لتحديد احتياجاتهم من صحة الأسنان وتقييم البرنامج المقدم وقياس مدى رضاهم عن الزيارة وقد بلغت نسبة الرضا 100%، كما تم توزيع استبيان آخر على أطباء الامتياز والمشاركين فى الزيارة لتقييمها وقد بلغت نسبة الرضا 100%.

وقد إستمتع أطباء الإمتياز بزيارة إحدى ورش صناعة الفخار والإطلاع على مراحل تصنيعه.
