On Monday the 20^th and Sunday 26^th of May 2024, the Internship Administration Office in cooperation with the Oral Surgery Department organized a workshop titled “Basic Dental Implantology workshop” for 22 female and male interns.

The workshop began with a lecture held in the Internship Seminar Room followed by hands-on training on dummy casts teaching the interns to place implants. The workshop covered certain topics like the anatomical considerations in implant surgery, criteria for case selection, CBCT interpretation in implant surgical planning and basic surgical techniques in implant surgery including flap design and suturing. Two live Surgeries on patients were performed by the staff members of Oral Surgery Department in Clinic A and live streamed to the interns on screen of clinic A to be able to see the whole surgery of implant placement starting from diagnosis to the execution of the surgery. A questionnaire was distributed to the interns to evaluate the workshop and the satisfaction rate was 100%.

ورشة عمل زراعة الأسنان الأساسية

نظمت إدارة تدريب أطباء الإمتياز ورشة عمل بعنوان “ورشة عمل زراعة الأسنان الأساسية” يومي الأحد والاثني 20 , 26مايو 2024 بالتعاون مع قسم جراحة الفم والوجه والفكين بالكلية وقد حضر إثنان وعشرون متدرب من طبيبات و أطباء الإمتياز.

بدأت ورشة العمل بمحاضرة في غرفة ندوات إدارة تدريب أطباء الإمتياز ، تلاها تدريب عملي على قوالب لتعليم المتدربين وضع الغرسات. غطت ورشة العمل مواضيع معينة مثل الاعتبارات التشريحية في جراحة الزرع ، ومعايير اختيار الحالة ، وتفسير CBCT في التخطيط الجراحي للزرع والتقنيات الجراحية الأساسية في جراحة الغرس بما في ذلك تصميم السديلة والخياطة. تم إجراء عمليتين جراحيتين مباشرتين على المرضى من قبل قسم جراحة الفم في العيادة A وتم بثها مباشرة إلى المتدربين على شاشة العيادة A ليتمكنوا من رؤية الجراحة الكاملة لوضع الزرع بدءا من التشخيص إلى تنفيذ الجراحة. تم توزيع استبيان على أطباء الامتياز المشاركين فى ورشة العمل لتقييمها وقد بلغت نسبة الرضا 100%.

The Internship Administration Office, in cooperation with the Oral Surgery Department, organized a workshop titled “Challenges of Implant Placement in Posterior Maxilla” for 25 interns. This took place on Wednesday and Monday, May 22^nd and27^th, 2024.

The workshop began with a lecture held in the Internship Seminar Room followed by live surgery. The workshop covered certain topics like anatomical considerations of maxillary sinus, criteria for case selection, CBCT interpretation in surgical planning and open vs closed sinus lifting surgery. A live surgery on a patient was performed by the staff members of Oral Surgery Department in the presence of the interns in clinic A to be able to see the whole surgery of open sinus lifting surgery with bone augmentation and simultaneous implant placement starting from diagnosis to the execution of the surgery. A questionnaire was distributed to the interns to evaluate the workshop and the satisfaction rate was 100%.

تحديات وضع الزرعات بالفك العلوي في الخلف

نظمت إدارة تدريب أطباء الامتياز بالتعاون مع قسم جراحة الفم والوجه والفكين ورشة عمل بعنوان (Challenges of Implant Placement in Posterior Maxilla) يومي الأربعاء والاثنين الموافقين 22، 27 مايو 2024 وقد حضر ورشة العمل عدد 25 متدرب من طبيبات وأطباء الامتياز.

بدأت ورشة العمل بمحاضرة عقدت في غرفة ندوات بمكتب إدارة تدريب أطباء الامتياز تلتها عملية جراحية حية، وقد غطت ورشة العمل موضوعات معينة مثل الاعتبارات التشريحية للجيب الفكي العلوي، معايير اختيار الحالة، تفسير CBCT في التخطيط الجراحي وجراحة رفع الجيوب الأنفية المفتوحة والمغلقة.

تم إجراء عملية جراحية حية لمريض من قبل طاقم قسم جراحة الفم والوجه والفكين بحضور أطباء الامتياز في العيادة A ليتمكنوا من رؤية عملية جراحية كاملة لرفع الجيوب الأنفية المفتوحة مع تكبير العظام ووضع الزرعات المتزامنة بدءاً من التشخيص وحتى التنفيذ من الجراحة. تم توزيع استبيان على أطباء الامتياز المشاركين في ورشة العمل لتقييمها وقد بلغت نسبة الرضا 100%.

The Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine conducted a workshop on Tuesday 28th of May as part of the scientific contribution of the faculty to the Africa Health Ex con 2024.

ورشة عمل تطويل التاج بشكل جمالي: المبادئ التوجيهية المعاصرة وصنع القرار

قامت كلية طب الفم والأسنان بتقديم ورشة عمل يوم الثلاثاء 28 مايو وذلك ضمن مساهمة الكلية العلمية في مؤتمر الصحة الأفريقي Africa Health Ex con 2024 بعنوان :
“Esthetic Crown Lengthening : Contemporary Guidelines and Decision making “.

The Internship Administration Office in collaboration with the Removable Prosthodontics Department organized a workshop titled “Dental Implants Prosthodontics”. Forty interns attended the workshop that started with a lecture on the 12th of February 2024 followed by hands- on training on the 15th of February 2024.

The workshop introduced different dental implant kits and components needed for construction of the superstructure prosthesis over dental implants.

The workshop featured the prosthodontic journey from the initial step of planning for dental implants for fully and partially edentulous patients to the execution of those plans and placement of dental implants, using CBCT and surgical guides.

A hands-on workshop was given to apply the theoretical knowledge gained. Each intern had the opportunity to place a dental implant practically.

On Sunday the 25^th of February 2024, the Internship Administration organized a workshop that was hosted by the Operative Department titled “Mastering Posterior Direct Restoratives in a Simple Way”.

40 interns attended the workshop that started with a lecture followed by a live demo for the process of direct class II restoration including matricing, finishing and polishing. At the end of the workshop, the interns received hands-on training.

The workshop covered several topics. Some of which were different cavity designs for direct posterior restoratives, importance of pre-wedging and protective matricing, proximal profile concept, different bonding strategies, the role of technology in tooth reinforcement, how to master posterior anatomy and bio-copy direct posterior restoratives.

The interns had the opportunity to apply the different steps of direct adhesive restoration of class II cavity, including matricing, finishing and polishing using the bulk fill style.

The workshop was sponsored by Shofu and Nile Dental Company.

في يوم الأحد الموافق 25 فبراير 2024 نظم فريق إدارة تدريب أطباء الامتياز ورشة عمل بالتعاون مع قسم العلاج التحفظي بعنوان “ورشة عمل إتقان الترميمات الخلفية المباشرة بطريقة مبسطة”.

 حضر 40 متدرب من أطباء الامتياز ورشة العمل التي بدأت بمحاضرة في غرفة ندوات التدريب تبعها عرض حي لعملية ترميم مباشر من الدرجة الثانية بدءً من تثبيت الشريطة المسندة إلى اكتمال وتلميع الحشوة وأخيرًا تلقى أطباء الامتياز تدريبًا عمليًا لتطبيق المعرفة النظرية.

 غطت ورشة العمل موضوعات معينة مثل تصميمات التجاويف المختلفة للتركيبات الخلفية المباشرة وأهمية تركيب شريطة مسندة وقائية ومفهوم المظهر الجانبي القريب وأنواع الشريطة المسندة التي يجب اختيارها للأسنان الخلفية واستراتيجيات اللصق المختلفة والبروتوكول الذي يجب إتباعه بناءً على أحدث البحوث العلمية ودور التكنولوجيا في تقوية الأسنان وإتقان الشكل التشريحي للأسنان الخلفية بسهولة والنسخ الحيوي للحشوات الخلفية المباشرة وخطوات التعامل مع الأسنان المدمرة بشدة ومفهوم اللصق والتجميع واكتمال وتلميع الحشوات وأتيحت الفرصة لجميع المتدربين الحاضرين لتطبيق الحشوات الملصوقة المباشرة لتجويف الفئة الثانية بدءًا من تركيب الشريطة المسندة وحتى اكتمال وتلميع الحشوات باستخدام أسلوب التعبئة ككتلة. وكانت ورشة العمل برعاية شركة شوفو والنيل لطب الأسنان.

On Thursday the 22^nd of February 2024, the Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee, Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine,  in celebration of the World Oral Health Day, organized a field trip to Badr Clinic, Health Insurance organization, Cairo branch, 5^th settlement. 31 interns as well as a member from the World Dental Federation (FDI) joined the trip.

The purpose of the visit was to raise the awareness of the patients of the medical center regarding oral and dental health. An awareness session was presented by the interns showing the importance of tooth brushing and the proper techniques for oral hygiene.

The FDI member distributed 300 toothbrushes and toothpaste on patients, employees, and workers of the medical center.

A meeting was held to discuss a cooperation agreement to provide community service in the medical centers and schools within the geographical area of the university to serve the largest number of citizens. The meeting was attended by:

Questionnaires were distributed to the employees of El Badr Medical Center to determine their dental health needs and to measure their satisfaction with the visit. Another questionnaire was distributed to the interns and staff members participating to evaluate the visit.

The satisfaction rate of the clinic employees was 89%

The satisfaction rate of the participants was 80%

زيارة أطباء الامتياز إلى عيادة بدر الشاملة التابعة لهيئة التأمين الصحي بمدينة بدر

على هامش اليوم العالمي لصحة الفم، نظمت لجنة شؤون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بكلية طب الفم والأسنان بجامعة مصر الدولية زيارة ميدانية لأطباء الامتياز إلى عيادة بدر الشاملة التابعة لهيئة التأمين الصحى بمدينة بدر يوم الخميس الموافق 22 فبراير 2024. شارك فى القافلة 31 من أطباء الامتياز بالإضافة إلى عضو من الاتحاد العالمي الفدرالى لطب الأسنان (FDI).

وكان الهدف من الزيارة هو رفع مستوى الوعي لدى المرضى المتواجدين بالمركز الطبى والموظفين فيما يتعلق بصحة الفم والأسنان. وقدم أطباء الامتياز جلسة توعية لتوضيح أهمية تنظيف الأسنان والتقنيات الصحيحة لنظافة الفم.

وقام أطباء الامتياز بعمل توعية لجميع المرضى والعاملين والموظفين بالمركز تحت إشراف أعضاء هيئة التدريس من الكلية وأعضاء من لجنة شؤون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة. كما قام موظف FDI بتوزيع 300 فرشاة ومعجون أسنان على جميع المرضى والعاملين بالمركز.

وتم عقد اجتماع بالمركز لمناقشة اتفاقية تعاون مشتركة لعمل خدمة مجتمعية فى المراكز والمدارس التابعة للمحيط الجغرافى للجامعة لخدمة أكبر عدد من المواطنين بحضور:

وتم توزيع استبيانات على العاملين بالمركز لتحديد احتياجاتهم من صحة الأسنان وتقييم البرنامج المقدم وقياس مدى رضاهم عن الزيارة.

وكانت نسبة رضا العاملين والموظفين بالمركز عن الزيارة 89%
ونسبة رضا المشاركين فى الزيارة 80%.

 نظمت إدارة تدريب أطباء الامتياز يوم الأحد الموافق 18 فبراير 2024 ورشة عمل بعنوان “التجميل في طب أسنان الأطفال” حضرها 40 متدرب من أطباء الامتياز بالتعاون مع قسم طب أسنان الأطفال.

 تم عقد محاضرة في قاعة ندوات الإدارة تلاها ورشة عمل لتطبيق موضوعات المحاضرة مثل تركيب مختلف انواع التيجان على الأسنان اللبنية وأنواع تيجان الأطفال ومفهوم إجراء الزركونيا في طب أسنان الأطفال وأنواع تيجان الزركونيا وتقنيات إعداد التاج الأمامي والخلفي وتثبيت التاج والأنواع الحديثة من التيجان في طب أسنان الأطفال.

 وأخيرًا قام جميع المتدربين بتطبيق جميع الخطوات اللازمة لإعداد تاج الزركونيا على القوالب تحت إشراف السادة أعضاء هيئة التدريس المشرفين على ورشة العمل.

On Sunday the 18^th of February 2024, the Internship Administration Office in cooperation with the Pedodontics Department organized a workshop titled “Esthetics in Pediatric Dentistry” for 40 interns.

The workshop began with a lecture held in the Internship Seminar Room followed by hands-on training. The workshop covered certain topics like the indications for full coverage in primary teeth, types of pediatric crowns, the concept of performed zirconia in pediatric dentistry, types of zirconia crowns, techniques for anterior and posterior crown preparation, crown cementation and recent types of crowns in pediatric dentistry. The interns also carried out all the steps for zirconia crown preparation on casts under the supervision of staff members.

Within the framework of the efforts exerted by the Internship Administration to educate and develop interns to qualify them to compete in the job market and to be aware of all dental aspects, 59 interns had the opportunity to attend a workshop titled “Dental Photography “in MIU on 5, 6 and 7 December 2023.

During the workshop, different topics were explored such as the importance and parameters of dental photography, the light source effect on photos, angulation for dental photography, common errors in photos, and tips on mobile dental photography. They also received practical training in intraoral dental photography.

A questionnaire was sent to the interns to know their feedback and satisfaction rate.
