On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, Al-Alsun Department hosted the final presentations of the Duبing projects created by 108 of its talented students. The students of the Audiovisual Translation Course showcased 22 diverse projects, from delightful animations to leading TV dramas, demonstrating their skills in translation, and voice acting. The event featured screenings of the duبed projects, followed by an engaging discussion with an examination committee. This presentation highlighted the students’ dedication and hard work throughout the semester.

Throughout the semester, students collaborated closely with their instructors and professional sound engineers to master the intricate process of duبing. They practiced translating scripts, matching lip movements, and delivering emotionally resonant performances. The professional sound engineers provided technical expertise, ensuring high-quality audio production. This hands-on experience allowed students to refine their skills and produce polished, professional duبs. The final presentation not only celebrated their achievements but also underscored the importance of meticulous preparation and teamwork in the field of duبing.

طلاب قسم الألسن يتألقون في عرض مشروع الدبلجة

يوم الأربعاء الموافق 5 يونيو 2024 نظم قسم الألسن لجان مناقشة مشاريع مقرر الدبلجة وعرض 108 طالبًا الأفلام المدبلجة التي عملوا عليها طوال الفصل الدراسي ربيع 2024. وقامت اللجنة بتقييم المشاريع ومناقشة الطلاب بشأن ترجمتهم. وقد أعجب أعضاء اللجنة بجودة الترجمة والتمثيل الصوتي.

Fourth-year students from the Department of Al-Alsun at the Faculty of Al-Alsun and Mass Communication, MIU, attended a workshop on May 28, 2024, given by representatives from New Generation International Schools. The workshop, which was led by Ms. Mona Asaad, Elementary School Principal, and Ms. Rana Mardini, KG Principal, provided students with insights into the responsibilities of co-teachers.

At the conclusion of the workshop, interested students scanned a QR code to fill out the application form for co-teaching positions at New Generation International Schools for the upcoming academic year.

حضر طلاب السنة الرابعة من قسم الألسن بكلية الألسن والإعلام بجامعة مصر الدولية ورشة عمل عُقدت في 28 مايو 2024 ألقتها ممثلتا مدرسة الجيل الجديد الدولية السيدة منى أسعد، مديرة المدرسة الابتدائية، والسيدة رنا مارديني، مديرة الروضة.

وفي ختام ورشة العمل، تم منح الطلاب فرصة فريدة لبدء حياتهم المهنية في التدريس عن طريق ملئ استمارة التقديم على وظيفة المدرس المساعد في مدارس الجيل الجديد الدولية للعام الدراسي القادم.

On Sunday the 19th of May, Al-Alsun Department hosted the renowned author of children’s literature, Ms. Mona Lamloum, as a guest speaker for the Topics in Literature Course. During the session, Ms. Lamloum emphasized the importance of tailoring literary topics and themes to suit the psychological development of children at various stages of their lives.
The session comes as part of Al-Alsun’s mission to provide its students with opportunities to engage with industry professionals and gain practical knowledge.

الكاتبة المشهورة منى لملوم تثرى طلاب الألسن بخبراتها عن أدب الطفل

استضاف قسم الألسن يوم الأحد الموافق 19 مايو مؤلفة كتب الأطفال الأستاذة منى لملوم في ندوة حول أدب الطفل.

خلال الندوة تحدثت الأستاذة منى لملوم عن المواضيع الأدبية المناسبة لكل فئة عمرية استنادًا إلى التطور النفسي للطفل.
وتأتي هذه الندوة كجزء من مهمة قسم الألسن لتزويد طلابها بفرص للتفاعل مع المتخصصين في المجال واكتساب المعرفة العملية.

On Monday the 20^th of May, the Training Unit at the Faculty of Al-Alsun & Mass Communication hosted an engaging workshop titled “Using Technology for the Documentation of Research” presented by Dr. Sarah Shawky, Assistant Professor, Mass Communication Department.

The workshop was attended by teaching assistants from both departments, Al-Alsun and Mass Communication, and it aimed to empower them with technological tools for their research.

Organizing this event stands as a testament to the Faculty’s commitment to the professional growth and development of its staff.

تعزيز المهارات البحثية باستخدام التكنولوجيا

استضافت وحدة التدريب بكلية الألسن والإعلام يوم الاثنين الموافق 20 مايو ورشة عمل بعنوان “استخدام التكنولوجيا في توثيق الأبحاث” قدمتها د. سارة شوقي المدرس بقسم الإعلام.

استهدفت الورشة على وجه التحديد أعضاء الهيئة المعاونة بالكلية بهدف تمكينهم بالأدوات التكنولوجية اللازمة لأبحاثهم.

ويؤكد تنظيم ورشة العمل على التزام الكلية بالنمو المهني والتطوير للهيئة المعاونة.

In support of the vulnerable groups in our community, the Community Service Committee in the Faculty of Al-Alsun and Mass Communication organized a visit to Mustafa Asaker Mosque Charity House for girls on Monday, May, 13, 2024. The visit comes in alignment with the fourth and fifth goals, quality education and gender equality, of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.

Two workshops were conducted during the visit. The first workshop was presented by Haidy Wael, a Mass Communication teaching assistant, and it introduced e-marketing through effective guidelines for creating, designing and managing Facebook-sponsored advertising campaigns. The second workshop was conducted by Al-Aslun teaching assistant, Nadine Nasif, and it introduced common nutritional and health terms that are used in daily life, in both English and Arabic (such as expiration dates, food ingredients, calories, etc.).

The Community Service Committee members handed out posters designed by Al-Alsun & Mass Communication students to raise awareness about environmental issues such as planting trees, air pollution and plastic-free drinking bottles.

The charity house principals and residents expressed their satisfaction with the workshops, requesting more training workshops in the future.

كلية الألسن والإعلام تنظم ورش تدريبية لدار مسجد مصطفى عساكر الخيرية للفتيات

نظمت لجنة خدمة المجتمع بكلية الألسن والإعلام زيارة إلى دار مسجد مصطفى عساكر الخيري للفتيات يوم الاثنين الموافق 13 مايو 2024.

وتم عقد ورشتي عمل خلال الزيارة. الورشة الأولى قدمتها هايدي وائل المعيدة بقسم الإعلام وتحدثت عن التسويق الإلكتروني وقدمت للفتيات إرشادات فعالة لإنشاء وتصميم الحملات الإعلانية التي ترعاها شركة فيسبوك. أما الورشة الثانية قدمتها نادين ناصف المعيدة بقسم الألسن وتطرقت إلى المصطلحات الغذائية الشائعة المستخدمة في الحياة اليومية باللغتين الإنجليزية والعربية (مثل تاريخ انتهاء الصلاحية ومكونات الطعام والسعرات الحرارية وغيرها).

وقام أعضاء لجنة خدمة المجتمع بتوزيع الملصقات التي صممها طلاب الألسن والإعلام للتوعية بالقضايا البيئية مثل زراعة الأشجار وتلوث الهواء وزجاجات الشرب الخالية من البلاستيك.

On Monday the 13^th of May, Al-Alsun Department held a Postgraduate Seminar for the MA in Translation and New Technology Program. The seminar was an invaluable opportunity for the MA students to receive insightful guidance and feedback on their proposed thesis topics from esteemed Faculty members.

As part of Al-Alsun’s commitment to academic excellence, the seminar aimed to provide students with the necessary resources and support to refine their research ideas and start their thesis writing journey with confidence.

نظم قسم الألسن يوم الاثنين الموافق 13 مايو ندوة لطلاب الدراسات العليا المسجلين في برنامج ماجستير الترجمة والتكنولوجيا الحديثة. وأثناء الندوة تلقى طلاب الماجستير آراء مفيدة بشأن مواضيع رسائلهم المقترحة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس الموقرين.

وكجزء من التزام قسم الألسن بالتميز الأكاديمي هدفت الندوة إلى تزويد الطلاب بالموارد والدعم اللازمين لتحسين مقترحاتهم البحثية والبدء في كتابة رسائلهم بثقة.

On Monday the 22^nd of April, the Training, Evaluation and Research Writing Center organized a thrilling General Knowledge and Talent Competition on campus. The event showcased the exceptional abilities and knowledge of the university students, leaving the audience in awe and admiration.

The Talent Competition featured a diverse array of performances that captivated the crowd. Students demonstrated their skills in singing, playing music, and acting. The stage came alive with exciting melodies, and entertaining songs as the participants left no stone unturned to impress the judges and the enthusiastic audience.

In the General Knowledge Competition, students from various faculties tested their knowledge across a wide range of subjects, including history, science, literature, and more. The competition was a thrilling battle of wits, with participants taking pride in their quick thinking, depth of knowledge, and strategic reasoning.

The competitions drew an enthusiastic audience, including fellow students and faculty members, all eager to witness the incredible talents and knowledge on display. The winners of both competitions received financial rewards and recognition for their outstanding achievements.

جامعة مصر الدولية تستضيف مسابقة المعلومات العامة والمواهب

في يوم الاثنين الموافق 22 أبريل نظم مركز التدريب والتقييم وكتابة الأبحاث مسابقة مثيرة للمواهب والمعلومات العامة في الحرم الجامعي، حيث استعرض طلاب الجامعة قدراتهم ومعارفهم الاستثنائية مما أثار إعجاب الحضور.

وتضمنت مسابقة المواهب عروضًا متنوعة شملت الغناء وعزف الموسيقى والتمثيل.

في حين أظهر الطلاب في مسابقة المعلومات العامة معارفهم في العديد من المجالات شملت التاريخ والعلوم والأدب وغيرها.

وحضر المسابقة زملاء الطلاب المشاركين وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والهيئة المعاونة الذين كانوا جميعًا حريصين على مشاهدة المواهب التي يتمتع بها طلاب الجامعة من مختلف الكليات وتشجيعهم على تنميتها. وحصل الفائزون في كلتا المسابقتين على مكافآت مالية وشهادات تقدير لإنجازاتهم المتميزة.

سلطت مسابقة المواهب والمعلومات العامة الضوء على المواهب المتنوعة والمهارات الفكرية التي يتمتع بها طلاب جامعة مصر الدولية مما يعكس التزام الجامعة برعاية المواهب وتعزيز النمو الفكري.

Dr. Shaun Schafer, Associate Vice President of Curriculum, Academic Effectiveness and Policy Development at the Metropolitan State University of Denver and distinguished professor in the Journalism and Media Production Department, enriched the Mass Communication Department with a two-week guest lecture series from February 17 to March 1, 2024.

Professor Schafer engaged students across various disciplines, including IMC, journalism, broadcasting, and comparative media postgraduate studies. He was particularly impressed by the students’ active participation and keen interest in the presented topics. The sentiment was mutual, with students and instructors expressing a strong desire for a repeat experience.

قسم الإعلام يستضيف الأستاذ الزائر شون شيفر

قام الدكتور شون شيفر نائب الرئيس للمناهج والفعالية الأكاديمية وتطوير السياسات في جامعة متروبوليتان ستيت في دنفر والأستاذ المتميز في قسم الصحافة والإنتاج الإعلامي بإثراء قسم الإعلام بسلسلة محاضرات لمدة أسبوعين اعتبارًا من 17 فبراير إلى 1 مارس 2024.

حاضر البروفيسور شيفر في عدة مقررات وأعرب عن إعجابه بالمشاركة النشطة للطلاب والاهتمام الشديد بالموضوعات المقدمة. وكانت المشاعر متبادلة حيث أعرب الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والهيئة المعاونة عن رغبة قوية في تكرار التجربة.
