Faculty of Pharmacy Partners with El Ezaby Pharmacy to Enhance Student Training Opportunities

The Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training (OPET) at the Faculty of Pharmacy held a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with El Ezaby Pharmacy on Monday, February 20, 2023.

The MOU was signed by Prof. Dr. Samy Emara, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Tareq Hady, the People Development Director of El Ezaby Pharmacy.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Ahmed El Shaffei, the Senior Manager of the Scientific Office and Training Department at El Ezaby Pharmacy, along with Vice Deans and department heads from the Faculty of Pharmacy. Members of the Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training (OPET), Quality Assurance Unit, and faculty staff were also present.

The MOU aims to provide valuable training opportunities for Pharm D and Pharm D-Clinical Pharmacy students at El Ezaby chain pharmacies. This collaboration further aims to strengthen the academic relationship between the two parties, allowing students to enhance their community pharmacy practice skills. It will also contribute to the improvement of educational programs through the exchange of knowledge and experiences.

MIU holds Pharmacy Preceptorship Day and MOU Signing Ceremony with Parkville Pharmaceuticals Company

The Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training (OPET) at the MIU Faculty of Pharmacy held a Preceptorship Day and Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony with Parkville Pharmaceuticals Company on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. The event celebrated the company’s significant contribution to student training opportunities and academic activities.

During the ceremony, an MOU for the Educational MIU-Parkville Pharmacy was signed by Prof. Dr. Mahasen Farghaly, MIU Acting President, and Dr. Mahmoud Farrag, Parkville GM and Cofounder. Another MOU for experiential and educational collaboration was signed by Prof.Dr.Samy Emara, Faculty of Pharmacy Dean, and Dr Mahmoud Farrag. These agreements aim to strengthen the academic relationship between the two parties, enrich experiential and research opportunities, and exchange knowledge and experiences.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Faculty of Pharmacy Dean, Vice-Deans, Department Heads, Members of the OPET, and faculty staff members. Representatives of Parkville Pharmaceuticals, including Dr. Sahar Gohar, Education and Development Manager, Dr. Engy Nehad, Education and Development Operations Supervisor, Dr. Carine Makram, Talent Acquisition and Branding Head, and Dr. Mahmoud Fadel, Marketing Associate, received awards and certificates of appreciation.

Dr. Carine Makram, Talent Acquisition and Branding Head also granted training completion certificates to students who fulfilled their pharmaceutical industry training hours during the ceremony.

Pharmacy Preceptorship Day and MOU Signing Ceremony with Mash Premiere Pharmaceutical Company

The Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training (OPET), Faculty of Pharmacy, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mash Premiere Pharmaceutical Company on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.

The Memorandum was signed by Prof. Dr. Samy Emara, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Sherif Shaker, Mash Premiere Pharmaceutical Company Learning and Developing Manager.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohamed Marie, Mash Premiere HR Director, Dr. Ibram Samy, Mash Premiere Learning and Development Department, the Faculty of Pharmacy Vice Deans, members of the Quality Assurance Unit, and the OPET staff.

The MOU strengthens the academic collaboration between the two parties towards enhancing students’ pharmaceutical sales and manufacturing skills and enriching research contributions. It also allows for exchanging knowledge and experiences and developing academic programs to meet community needs.

Pharmacy Preceptorship Day and MOU Signing Ceremony with Al Galaa Military Hospital

On Monday, January 23, 2023, the Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training (OPET), Faculty of Pharmacy, MIU, held a ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Al Galaa Military Hospitals.

The MOU was signed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Emad Elgendy, MIU Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, and Dr. Omnia Mahmoud, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department at Al Galaa Military Hospital. This MOU aims to strengthen the academic relationship between the two parties, enrich research collaboration, and exchange knowledge and experiences.

The signing ceremony was attended by the MIU Faculty of Pharmacy Dean, Vice-Deans, Department Heads, OPET staff, members of the Quality Assurance Unit and Al Galaa Military Hospital Senior Clinical Pharmacist Dr. Omar Hegab.

In recognition of the great contribution of the Nassaem Hospital preceptors in training MIU pharmacy students, the Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training (OPET), Faculty of Pharmacy, MIU, held a Preceptorship Day and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Nassaem Hospital on Wednesday, November16th 2022.

The MOU was signed by Prof. Dr. Samy Emara, Vice Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, MIU and Dr. Mostafa Shokry, CEO of Nassaem Hospital. The aim of the MOU is to strengthen the academic relationship between the two parties, enrich research collaboration, and exchange knowledge and experiences.

The signing ceremony was attended by the MIU Faculty of Pharmacy Dean, Vice Deans, Department Heads, members of the OPET and members of the Quality Assurance Unit.

The representatives of Nassaem Hospital and preceptors attending the ceremony were Dr. Mohamed Gamal, Pharmacies and Drug Supply Chain Manager, Dr. Emam Mahmoud, Inpatient and Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor and Dr. Nada Adel, Senior Clinical Pharmacist.

At the end of the ceremony, awards & certificates of appreciation were granted to Nassaem Hospital administrators and preceptors.

In recognition of the great contribution of the Teachers Hospital preceptors in training MIU pharmacy students, the Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training (OPET), Faculty of Pharmacy, MIU, held a Preceptorship Day and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Teachers Hospital on Wednesday, November16th 2022.

The MOU was signed by Prof. Dr. Samy Emara, Vice Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, MIU and Dr. Bahaa El Din Abo Zaid, General Manager of Teachers Hospital. The aim of the MOU is to strengthen the academic relationship between the two parties, enrich research collaboration, and exchange knowledge and experiences.

The signing ceremony was attended by the MIU Faculty of Pharmacy Dean, Vice Deans, Department Heads, members of the OPET and members of the Quality Assurance Unit.

The representatives of Teachers Hospital and preceptors attending the ceremony were Dr. Ahmed Essam Abou Warda, Head of Clinical Pharmacy Department and Dr.Inas Ahmed Al Shamy, Hospital Pharmacy Manager.

At the end of the ceremony, awards & certificates of appreciation were granted to Teachers Hospital administrators and preceptors.

The Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training (OPET), Faculty of Pharmacy, MIU, held a Preceptorship Day and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with As-Salam International Hospitals. This is in recognition for the great contribution of the preceptors in training MIU pharmacy students. The event was held on Monday November 14th, 2022

As-Salam International Hospitals are JCI-accredited facilities that are part of Alameda Healthcare Group which is a network with various healthcare subsidiaries all over Egypt.

The MOU was signed by Prof. Dr. Ahmad Emad El-Gendy, MIU Vice President for Education & Student Affairs and Dr. Mazen Attia, CMO of As-Salam International Hospitals. This MOU is aiming to strengthen the academic relationship between the two parties, enrich research collaboration, and exchange knowledge and experiences.

The signing ceremony was attended by the MIU Faculty of Pharmacy Dean, Vice- Deans, Department Heads, Members of the OPET and Members of the Quality Assurance Unit.

The representatives of As-Salam International Hospitals and preceptors were Dr. Ahmed El Nady, Chief Pharmacy Director; Dr. Hagar Elgendy, Senior Inpatient Pharmacist and Dr. Hadeer Adel, Inpatient Pharmacist.

At the end of the ceremony, awards & certificates of appreciation were granted to   As-Salam International Hospitals administrators and preceptors in recognition of the great efforts in providing distinguished clinical pharmacy training to our students.

Pharmacy Preceptorship Day and MOU Signing Ceremony with Cleopatra Hospitals Group

The Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training (OPET), Faculty of Pharmacy, MIU, held a Preceptorship Day and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Cleopatra Hospitals Group (CHG). This is in recognition for the great contribution of the preceptors in training MIU pharmacy students. The event was held on Monday November 7th, 2022

CHG is considered as one of the largest private hospital groups in Egypt that has played an important role in developing the healthcare sector. It manages several hospitals in Egypt including Cleopatra Hospital, Cairo Specialized Hospital, Nile Badrawi Hospital, and Al Shorouk Hospital.

The MOU was signed by Prof. Dr. Ahmad Emad El-Gendy, MIU Vice- President for Education & Student Affairs and Dr. Kareem Awaad, CHG Pharmaceutical Services Director. This MOU is aiming to strengthen the academic relationship between the two parties, enrich research collaboration, and exchange knowledge and experiences.

The ceremony was attended by the MIU Faculty of Pharmacy Dean, Vice-Deans, Department Heads, Members of the OPET and Members of the Quality Assurance Unit. Dr. Watheq Alsetohy, Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacy Medication Management & Use, and Dr. Mohamed Rafaat, Pharmaceutical Services Manager, Nile Badrawi Hospital were the CHG representative preceptors.  

At the end of the ceremony, awards & certificates of appreciation were granted to CHG administrators and preceptors. in recognition of the great efforts in providing distinguished clinical pharmacy training to our students.
