MIU’s Faculty of Pharmacy Partners with Education First Foundation to Advance Technical Education

Misr International University’s Faculty of Pharmacy and Education First Foundation have collaborated to elevate technical and applied technological education in Egypt. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on November 12, 2024, by Dr. Salma El-Bakry, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Education First Foundation and Prof. Dr. Samy Emara, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at MIU.

This strategic partnership aims to enhance the scientific curricula of the Bank Misr School of Applied Technology and Pharmaceutical Industries, under the supervision of Education First Foundation. Using MIU’s academic expertise, the collaboration aims to promote a higher standard of learning within Egypt’s applied technology sector.

تعاونت كلية الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية ومؤسسة التعليم أولاً للارتقاء بالتعليم الفني والتكنولوجيا التطبيقية في مصر. تم توقيع مذكرة تفاهم في 12 نوفمبر 2024 من قبل الدكتورة سلمى البكري رئيس مجلس أمناء مؤسسة التعليم أولًا والأستاذ الدكتور سامي عمارة عميد كلية الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية.
وتهدف هذه الشراكة إلى تعزيز المناهج العلمية بمدرسة بنك مصر للتكنولوجيا التطبيقية والصناعات الدوائية تحت إشراف مؤسسة التعليم أولاً. وباستخدام الخبرة الأكاديمية لجامعة مصر الدولية يهدف التعاون إلى رفع معايير التعلم في قطاع التكنولوجيا التطبيقية في مصر.

كلية الصيدلة تجدد وتوسع التعاون مع مختبر نواة العلمي

يسر كلية الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية أن تعلن عن تمديد إتفاقية الشراكة مع مركز نواة العلمي بعد التجربة الناجحة والمفيدة للطرفين. حضر حفل توقيع الإتفاقية ممثلون من كلية الصيدلة وأتيحت لهم فرصة اللتعرف على الخدمات التي يقدمها مركز نواة وآفاق التعاون في مجال البحث في شتى التخصصات العلمية. وقع على الإتفاقية كل من أ.د/ سامي عمارة عميد الكلية و دكتور عمرو شكري الرئيس التنفيذي لمركز نواة.

Faculty of Pharmacy Renews and Expands Collaboration with Nawah Scientific Lab

The Faculty of Pharmacy is delighted to announce the continuation of its partnership with Nawah Scientific Lab. This collaboration has proven to be a truly enriching experience for both parties. During the signing ceremony on the 27th of December, representatives from the Faculty of Pharmacy had the opportunity to explore Nawah laboratories and services, gaining valuable insights and inspiration.

This extended collaboration will encompass various research initiatives across different scientific disciplines.

The renewal agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Samy Emara, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Omar Shokry, CEO of Nawah Scientific Lab. 

كلية الصيدلة توقع مذكرة تفاهم مع هوسبيس مصر

وقعت كلية الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية في 16 سبتمبر 2023 مذكرة تفاهم مع مؤسسة هوسبيس مصر، المقيدة بوزارة التضامن الاجتماعي بهدف تقديم الرعاية الصحية لمرضى الحالات المتأخرة من الأمراض المختلفة في أيامهم الأخيرة.

تعكس هذة المذكرة حرص الكلية على تحقيق رسالتها للمساهمة في دعم صحة أفراد المجتمع وسلامتهم وتقديم خدمات الرعاية التلطيفية للمرضى في محافظات القاهرة والجيزة والقليوبية.
ويمنح هذا التعاون فرصة تدريب صيفي للطلاب في مجموعة من الأنشطة الاجتماعية داخل مقر المؤسسة ومنشأة هوسبيس بهدف تنشئة صيادلة قادرين على التفاعل المجتمعي وتحمل المسؤولية المجتمعية، كما أنه يعتبر خطوة إيجابية نحو تعزيز قيم التعاون والمسؤولية من أجل صحة المجتمع.

Faculty of Pharmacy Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Hospice Egypt

On September 16, 2023, MIU Faculty of Pharmacy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hospice Egypt, a registered non-governmental organization dedicated to providing care for patients with advanced-stage illnesses during their final days.

This MoU marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between MIU and Hospice Egypt, in line with the Faculty’s mission to contribute to the health and well-being of the public. The core objective of the MoU is to offer palliative care services to adult patients in Cairo, Giza, and Qalyubia governorates.

Furthermore, the MoU offers an invaluable opportunity for students to engage in summer training in various social work activities within the organization’s premises and the established Hospice facility. This hands-on experience ensures that future pharmacy professionals not only excel academically but also uphold social responsibility.

Through this collaboration, the faculty is taking a positive stride towards promoting values of collaboration and enhances the students’ sense of social accountability, while contributing to the well-being of the community.

Memorandum of Understanding between MIU and Arab Association for Pharmacy Progress

On September 16, 2023, MIU Faculty of Pharmacy signed a memorandum of understanding with the Arab Association of Pharmacy Progress (AAPP), a non-profit organization affiliated with the Ministry of Social Solidarity. The AAPP is dedicated to the development of the pharmacy profession, elevating the competencies of pharmacy students and graduates, and ensuring high-quality patient care through education, training, and healthcare support. This collaboration underscores the faculty’s mission to improve the health and well-being of the public.

The MoU encompasses a comprehensive set of joint initiatives to enhance pharmacy education and practice through joint workshops, and training opportunities. It also works towards extending community health initiatives to improve the health and well-being of the public in alignment with the faculty’s mission.

توقيع مذكرة تفاهم مع الجمعية العربية لتطوير الصيادلة

بهدف تطوير التعليم الصيدلي وتعزيز خدمات الرعاية الصحية، وقعت كلية الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية في يوم 16 سبتمبر 2023 مذكرة تفاهم مع الجمعية العربية لتطوير الصيادلة، وهي منظمة غير هادفة للربح تابعة لوزارة التضامن الاجتماعي، تعمل على تطوير المهنة ورفع كفاءات طلابها وخريجيها.

تنص مذكرة التفاهم على التعاون بين الكلية والجمعية العربية لتطوير الصيادلة بهدف إثراء التعليم الصيدلي من خلال توفير ورش عمل وفرص تدريبية للطلاب وكذلك تعزيز البحث العلمي، ودعم المشروعات والمبادرات الابتكارية بما يتماشى مع رسالة الكلية.

من خلال توقيع هذه المذكرة، تعبر كلية الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية عن التزامها بمهمتها الأساسية والتي تتمثل في دعم صحة أفراد المجتمع وسلامتهم من خلال تعزيز التعاون على الصعيدين المحلي والدولي وكذلك تعزيز تطوير مهنة الصيدلة وتحسين خدمات الرعاية الصحية لصالح المجتمع، من خلال الجهود المشتركة مع الجمعية .

Pharmacy Preceptorship Day and MOU Signing Ceremony with Mesh Premier Pharmaceuticals Company

The Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training (OPET), Faculty of Pharmacy, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mash Premiere Pharmaceutical Company on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.

The Memorandum was signed by Prof. Dr. Samy Emara, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Sherif Shaker, Mash Premiere Pharmaceutical Company Learning and Developing Manager.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohamed Marie, Mash Premiere HR Director, Dr. Ibram Samy, Mash Premiere Learning and Development Department, the Faculty of Pharmacy Vice Deans, members of the Quality Assurance Unit, and the OPET staff.

The MOU strengthens the academic collaboration between the two parties towards enhancing students’ pharmaceutical sales and manufacturing skills and enriching research contributions. It also allows for exchanging knowledge and experiences and developing academic programs to meet community needs.

Faculty of Pharmacy Signs MOU with Eva Pharmaceutical Company, Expanding Collaborative Opportunities in Pharmaceutical Industry

The Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training (OPET) at the Faculty of Pharmacy hosted a momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Eva Pharmaceutical Company on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023. The MOU, signed by Prof. Dr. Samy Emara, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. George Sadaan, People Operations Section Head at Eva Pharma, solidifies the partnership between the two parties.

The ceremony brought together distinguished representatives from Eva Pharma, such as Dr. Mina Fayez, People Operations Section Head, and Dr. Micheal Nagy Morgan, Commercial Account Manager. They were joined by MIU Vice-Deans, department heads, members of the Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training (OPET), Quality Assurance Unit, and faculty staff.

Held at the Eva Factory in 6th of October city, the event also featured an insightful tour of various factory departments, including the production lines and the Research and Development center.

This cooperation signifies a significant step towards fostering a stronger academic relationship between the Faculty of Pharmacy and Eva Pharma. It aims to provide valuable training opportunities for students in the pharmaceutical industry, enrich research collaborations, enhance educational programs, and foster the exchange of knowledge and experiences.

The Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training (OPET) at the Faculty of Pharmacy recently held a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Limitless Care Pharmaceutical Company on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023. The ceremony symbolized a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two institutions, solidifying their commitment to excellence in the field.

The MOU was signed by Prof. Dr. Samy Emara, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. George Sadaan, the People Operations Section Head of Limitless Care. The ceremony brought together a number of representatives from Limitless Care, including Dr. Mina Fayez, the People Operations Section Head, and Dr. Micheal Nagy Morgan, the Commercial Account Manager. The MOU between the Faculty of Pharmacy and Limitless Care Pharmaceutical Company aims to provide MIU pharmacy students with training opportunities in emerging fields such as Pharmacovigilance and Medical Insurance.
