On November 14, 2024, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Misr International University organized a community service initiative in El Mashadey Village, El Sharqia Governorate. The aim was to raise awareness about the importance of proper handwashing to foster a healthier community.

In collaboration with the Governorate’s Population Unit and the Regional Authority for Tourism Promotion, faculty members and 12 pharmacy students from various academic years conducted an interactive awareness session for primary school students. The session highlighted the significance of handwashing techniques, using vibrant visual aids and engaging storytelling with handmade puppets.

This initiative reflects the Faculty of Pharmacy’s commitment to social responsibility and experiential learning.

حملة توعية بأهمية غسل اليدين في قرية المشادي

نظمت كلية الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية في 14 نوفمبر 2024 مبادرة خدمة مجتمعية بقرية المشادي بمحافظة الشرقية. وكان الهدف هو رفع مستوى الوعي حول أهمية غسل اليدين بشكل صحيح لتعزيز مجتمع أكثر صحة.
بالتعاون مع وحدة السكان بالمحافظة والهيئة الإقليمية لترويج السياحة أجرى أعضاء هيئة التدريس و12 طالب من مختلف السنوات الأكاديمية بكلية الصيدلة جلسة توعوية تفاعلية لطلاب المرحلة الابتدائية. سلطت الجلسة الضوء على أهمية تقنيات غسل اليدين باستخدام لوحات توضيحية ملونة ودمى مصنوعة يدويًا.
تعكس هذه المبادرة التزام كلية الصيدلة بالمسؤولية الاجتماعية والتعلم التجريبي.

On the Hospice Annual Marathon Day, students from the Faculty of Pharmacy along with students from DIMAS club and participants from various universities took part in a 3 KM race held in El-Zamalek at El-Nahr Garden organized by Hospice Egypt, an organization committed to offering compassionate care for individuals nearing the end of their lives. Saged Ali, a second-year Pharmacy student, achieved third place among all university participants in the Marathon.

MIU was honored for its commitment to making a difference in the community, highlighting critical healthcare issues and raising awareness about the importance of compassionate end-of-life care.

طلاب كلية الصيدلة في يوم الماراثون السنوي

في يوم الجمعة الموافق 11 أكتوبر شارك 11 من طلاب كلية الصيدلة بالاشتراك مع الطلاب الملتحقين بالنشاط الطلابي دايماس في يوم الماراثون السنوي لمؤسسة هوسبيس مصر التي تهدف لدعم المرضى في المراحل الأخيرة. شارك طلاب الكلية مع طلاب من الجامعات الأخرى في ماراثون بطول 3 كيلومترات أقيم بحديقة النهر بالزمالك. وفاز الطالب بالفرقة الثانية ساجد علي بالمركز الثالث كما تم تكريم كلية الصيدلة على تعاونها المستمر مع هوسبيس مصر.

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Misr International University organized a successful field visit to Karamous village in Sharqia Governorate on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. This visit was conducted in coordination with the Governorate’s Population Unit and the Regional Authority for Tourism Promotion. Fifteen students participated in the visit, engaging in various educational and community activities.

During the visit, students visited the local papyrus farms and participated in workshops on papyrus paper making. They also conducted an informative awareness session on the use of medicinal plants, discussing their benefits, potential adulteration, contraindications, and side effects under the supervision of the Faculty members.

In a gesture of goodwill, the students distributed medicinal herbs as gifts to the villagers, fostering a sense of community service.

زيارة ميدانية لكلية الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية لقرية القراموس

قامت كلية الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية بزيارة ميدانية لقرية القراموس مركز أبو كبير بمحافظة الشرقية في يوم الثلاثاء الموافق ٢١ مايو ٢٠٢٤ بالتنسيق مع وحدة السكان بالمحافظة وكذلك الهيئة الإقليمية لتنشيط السياحة. شارك بالزيارة 15 طالب وطالبة من الكلية وتضمنت الأنشطة زيارة مزارع البردي، وكذلك ورش صناعة أوراق البردي. وقام الطلاب بعمل نشاط توعوي عن استخدام النباتات والأعشاب الطبية وطرق غشها وأعراضها الجانبية تحت إشراف أعضاء هيئة التدريس والهيئة المعاونة بالكلية، كما قاموا بتوزيع بعض الأعشاب الطبية كهدايا لأبناء القرية.

Dr. Arwa, renowned for her expertise as a former clinical nutrition consultant and lecturer at the College of Applied Sciences, King Saud University, shared invaluable insights tailored to the student community.

During the session, students explored the intricate relationship between nutrition and overall well-being, gaining holistic perspectives relevant to their academic and personal lives. This initiative reflects the Faculty’s ongoing commitment to promoting health awareness and well-being among its students.

تعزيز الوعي الصحي: كلية الصيدلة تنظم محاضرة توعوية عن التغذية السليمة لطلبة الجامعات مع الدكتورة أروى بدرالدين

في يوم الاثنين الموافق 4 مارس 2024 نظمت كلية الصيدلة محاضرة توعوية عن التغذية السليمة لطلاب الجامعات حاضرت بها د. أروى بدر الدين .
د. أروى بدر الدين هي استشارية تغذية سريرية ومحاضرة في كلية العلوم التطبيقية بجامعة الملك سعود. أثناء المحاضرة تعرف الطلاب على العلاقة بين التغذية والصحة العامة. وتعكس هذه المبادرة التزام الكلية الدائم بتعزيز وعي الطلاب الصحي .

On May 21, 2024, the Community Service Committee hosted an enlightening session about crisis management, for 28 MIU pharmacy students. The session was led by Mr. Islam Abdelhaleem, a Humanitarian Relief Officer at the Egyptian Red Crescent.

Mr. Abdelhaleem explored the different aspects of crisis management, and discussed several related issues including types of crises, essential principles, and engagement strategies with security organizations.

Real-life scenarios provided a hands-on opportunity for students to apply their newly acquired skills, empowering them to handle crises effectively.

This initiative underscores our commitment to equipping students with practical knowledge and skills for real-world challenges.

تدريب طلاب كلية الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية على إدارة الأزمات

نظمت لجنة خدمة المجتمع ندوة أدارها الأستاذ إسلام عبد الحليم مسؤول الإغاثة الإنسانية بالهلال الأحمر المصري، وذلك يوم الثلاثاء 21 مايو 2024.

وركزت الجلسة، التي حضرها 28 طالبًا، على مختلف جوانب إدارة الأزمات. حيث تناول الأستاذ إسلام أنواعًا مختلفة من الأزمات، ومبادئ إدارة الأزمات، واستراتيجيات التعامل مع المنظمات الأمنية، كما استعرض بعض سيناريوهات الأزمات الواقعية حتى يتمكن الطلاب من تطبيق مبادئ الإدارة التي تعلموها خلال الجلسة بشكل عملي.

وتهدف هذه المبادرة إلى تزويد الطلاب بالمعرفة والمهارات العملية التي تمكنهم من التعامل مع الأزمات بشكل فعال.

نظمت كلية الصيدلة يوم الثلاثاء الموافق ٢١ من نوفمبر ٢٠٢٣ زيارة إلى دار فاطمة الزهراء لرعاية الأيتام للقيام بحملة توعية عن مرض السكري للأطفال والعاملين والمسؤولين بالدار.

شارك عدد من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والإداريين و١١ من طلبة وطالبات السنة الرابعة والخامسة بالكلية في حملة التوعية عن مرض السكري التي تضمنت العديد من الانشطة ومحاضرة توعوية لموظفي الدار عن مرض السكري عند الاطفال وسلطت الحملة الضوء على الاستخدام الأمثل لأدوية مرض السكري وكيفية متابعتها كما تم قياس مستوى السكر في الدم لموظفي الدار.

وقام الطلاب بعمل أنشطة مختلفة لتوعية أطفال الدار والبالغ عددهم ٢٠ طفل عن الطعام الصحي وسبل الوقاية من مرض السكري. شاركت في الحملة شركة كاندي كلوب التي وزعت وجبات صحية خفيفة على الاطفال.
