MIU Participates in the Egyptian-French Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research

News

As part of its efforts to enhance international cooperation and improve the quality of education and scientific research, Misr International University took part in the Egyptian-French Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research. The event was attended by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Mr. Philippe Baptiste, French Minister of Higher Education.

The forum was held on the sidelines of French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Egypt. During the event, several agreements and protocols were signed between Egyptian and French universities, aiming to open new avenues in education, academic exchange, and research collaboration.

MIU was represented at the event by Prof. Dr. Mohassen Mohamed Farghaly, Acting President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Emad Elgendy, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

في إطار تعزيز التعاون الدولي والارتقاء بجودة التعليم والبحث العلمي، شاركت جامعة مصر الدولية في فعاليات الملتقى المصري الفرنسي للتعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، والذي أُقيم بحضور د. أيمن عاشور، وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي المصري وفيليب بابتيست، وزير التعليم العالي والبحث الفرنسي

ويأتي هذا الملتقى على هامش زيارة الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون إلى مصر، حيث تم توقيع عدد من الاتفاقيات والبروتوكولات بين الجامعات المصرية والفرنسية، لفتح آفاق جديدة في مجالات التعليم والتبادل الأكاديمي والبحثي.

ومثل جامعة مصر الدولية في الملتقى أ.د. محاسن محمد فرغلي، القائم بأعمال رئيس الجامعة، و أ.د. أحمد عماد الجندي، نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون التعليم والطلاب.

iTranslate Celebrates Al-Alsun Internship Success

Al-Alsun Department and iTranslate Group partnered to deliver two workshops in legal translation, equipping 48 third and fourth-year students with hands-on translation and localization expertise.

 To celebrate the success of these training workshops, iTranslate CEO Mohamed Mahmoud visited MIU to present the attending students with certificates and share with them career guidance.

These training workshops reflect the Department’s commitment to empowering its students with the confidence and technical knowledge required to succeed in their careers.

تعاون قسم الألسن ومجموعة iTranslate لتقديم ورشتي عمل في الترجمة القانونية حيث تم تزويد 48 طالبًا من الفرقتين الثالثة والرابعة بخبرة عملية في الترجمة والتعريب.
احتفاءً بنجاح هاتين الورشتين التدريبيتين زار الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة iTranslate السيد محمد محمود جامعة مصر الدولية لتقديم شهادات للطلاب المشاركين في التدريب.
تعكس هاتان الورشتان التدريبيتان التزام القسم بتمكين طلابه بالثقة والمعرفة التقنية اللازمة للنجاح في حياتهم المهنية.

Al-Alsun Students Visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

On Sunday, May 11, 2025, students from Al-Alsun Department enjoyed an engaging and educational experience at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization as part of Introduction to Conference Interpretation coursework.

During the trip, the students collected specialized terminology related to Egypt’s history and cultural heritage. They also photographed exhibit labels in both Arabic and English to evaluate the quality of the translations in terms of accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness. The students toured the museum’s halls and expressed their pride in Egypt’s rich historical achievements.

The trip provided a valuable opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world cultural and linguistic experiences.

زيارة طلاب الألسن للمتحف القومي للحضارة المصرية

زار طلاب مقرر “مدخل إلى ترجمة المؤتمرات” المتحف القومي للحضارة المصرية في يوم الأحد الموافق 11 مايو 2025.
وقاموا خلال الرحلة بجمع مصطلحات متخصصة تتعلق بتاريخ مصر وتراثها الثقافي، كما التقطوا صورًا لبطاقات الشرح الخاصة بالمعروضات باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية وذلك لتقييم جودة الترجمة من حيث الدقة والوضوح والملاءمة الثقافية. وقد قام الطلاب بجولة في قاعات المتحف وأعربوا عن فخرهم بالإنجازات التاريخية العظيمة لمصر.
وقد شكلت هذه الزيارة فرصة قيّمة لربط ما يتعلمه الطلاب في قاعات الدراسة بالخبرات اللغوية والثقافية في الواقع العملي.

MIU Pharmacy Leads National Dialogue on Competency-Based Education at the 9th AIPC 2025

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Misr International University played a significant role in the 9th Arab International Pharmacy Conference (AIPC 2025), which took place on May 10–11, 2025, at Concorde El Salam Hotel, Cairo, as a Strategic Partner alongside the Arab Association for Pharmacy Progress (AAPP).

Demonstrating its dedication to enhancing pharmacy education, MIU organized a panel discussion titled: “Towards Competency-Based Pharmacy Education and Assessment: Year 6 Internship and Licensure Exam Frameworks”. This session, held on Saturday, May 10th, in Adam Hall, gathered prominent academic leaders and regulatory stakeholders to explore the evolving dynamics of pharmacy education in Egypt. Key topics included the implementation of Year 6 experiential training and the National Licensure Exam, which are initiatives designed to improve the competency and preparedness of pharmacy graduates.

The Faculty of Pharmacy expresses its heartfelt thanks to Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Singab, Head of the Pharmacy Sector at the Supreme Council of Universities, along with the esteemed Deans of Pharmacy Faculties for their insightful contributions and recommendations during the discussion.

Al-Alsun Leaps into the Future with Artificial Intelligence

On April 28, 2025, Al-Alsun department hosted a session led by alumna Rawan Nazmy, an expert in AI-integrated digital education. First-hand experience introduced students to applied AI, showcasing tools like ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gradescope and DeepL. The session highlighted AI’s transformative impact on study methods and research by automating presentations, summaries, translations and revisions.

طلاب الألسن يحصلون على خبرة عملية في استخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي

في 28 أبريل 2025 استضاف قسم الألسن ندوة قدمتها الخريجة روان نظمي وهي خبيرة في دمج الذكاء الاصطناعي في التعليم الرقمي. تناولت الندوة مقدمة عن الذكاء الاصطناعي التطبيقي وعرضت أدوات مثل ChatGPT ومايكروسوفت كوبايلوت وجريدسكوب وديب إل. سلطت الجلسة الضوء على التأثير التحويلي للذكاء الاصطناعي على طرق الدراسة والبحث العلمي.

Visit to the New Administrative Capital Hospital

The Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine’s Community Service and Environmental Affairs Department organized a visit to the New Administrative Capital Hospital, affiliated with the General Authority for Health Insurance, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

The visit was attended by the Faculty’s Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, the Head of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the university, a member of the Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee, and a member of the team from the Internship Training Office.

The hospital’s Director, Prof. Dr. Ramzy Mounir, warmly welcomed the university delegation and said that he was looking forward to cooperating with the Faculty of Dentistry, upon the approval of the Chairman of the General Authority for Health Insurance, as the hospital is under the authority of the General Health Insurance.

Several ideas were discussed, including the possibility of contracting with the hospital to perform oral and maxillofacial surgeries under general anesthesia for cases related to the university, to be carried out by university professors and consultants in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, along with the supporting team from the faculty. The hospital director also explained that it is not currently possible to allow internship doctors to train at the hospital, as they do not yet have the training services in place.

At the end of the meeting, the committee toured the hospital, inspecting the operating rooms, recovery rooms, and doctors’ rooms, accompanied by Dr. Marwa Ragai, a consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the hospital (a graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry, Misr International University).

It was agreed that a proposal would be prepared for presentation to the General Authority for Health Insurance.

زيارة تفقدية لمستشفى العاصمة الادارية

قامت إدارة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بالكلية بعمل زيارة تفقدية لمستشفى العاصمة الادارية التابعة للهيئة العامة للتأمين الصحى في يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 29 ابريل2025.

وقد شارك في الزيارة السيد وكيل الكلية لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة والسيد رئيس قسم جراحة الوجه و الفكين بالجامعة وعضو من لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة وعضو من فريق العمل بادارة تدريب الامتياز.

قام السيد مدير المستشفىأ.د/ رمزى منير بإستقبال وفد الجامعة بحفاوة وقد أبدى سعادته بالتعاون مع كلية طب الفم والأسنان بالجامعة بشرط الحصول على موافقة السيد رئيس الهيئة العامة للتأمين الصحي ،حيث أن المستشفى تتبع الهيئة العامة للتأمين الصحي.

كما تم إستعراض عدة أفكار منها ،التعاقد مع المستشفى لعمل عمليات جراحة الفم والوجه والفكين تحت التخدير الكلي للحالات التابعة للجامعة بواسطة أساتذة واستشاريين جراحة الفم والوجه والفكين بالجامعة و فريق العمل المعاون من الكلية ،وأوضح السيد مدير المستشفى عدم امكانية الحاق أطباء الامتياز للتدرب لديهم في الوقت الحالي نظرا لعدم وجود هذه الخدمة التدريبية لديهم حتى تاريخه .

وبعد نهاية الإجتماع قامت اللجنة بجولة تفقدية بالمستشفى وتم تفقد غرف العمليات ،غرف الإفاقة ،غرف الأطباء وذلك بصحبة استشاري جراحة الفم والوجه والفكين بالمستشفى د/ مروة رجائي (خريجة كلية طب الفم و الاسنان جامعة مصر الدولية).

وتم الاتفاق على إعداد مقترح لعرضه على الهيئة العامة للتأمين الصحى.
