MIU Pharmacy Students Excel in Egypt’s First International Capstone Prescribing Skills Assessment

On September 23, 2024 and for the first time in Egypt, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Misr International University (MIU) successfully hosted the international capstone Prescribing Skills Assessment (PSA) exam, organized by the British Pharmacological Society (BPS).

MIU senior pharmacy students became the first cohort in Egypt to take this internationally recognized capstone exam. After completing two preparatory mock exams, the students excelled in the final international assessment, showcasing significant improvements in both performance and competencies.

Each student received a certificate from the BPS, highlighting their success and adding valuable credentials to their professional portfolios.

Congratulations to all our students for their remarkable accomplishment.

 تعلن جامعة مصر الدولية عن تقديم منح دراسية مجانية لخريجي مدارس المتفوقين فى العلوم والتكنولوجيا الذين درسوا نظام STEM  ، ومنح للحالات الاجتماعية من المتفوقين في الثانوية العامة المصرية للعام الجامعى 2025/2024 فى التخصصات التالية:-

1- الهندسة قسم العمارة وقسم الإتصالات .

2- كلية الألسن والإعلام (تخصص إعلام ، ألسن لغة إنجليزية).

3- الحاسبات والمعلومات .

4-  إدارة الأعمال والتجارة الدولية .

5-  الصيدلة .

وذلك بالشروط التالية :-

1- المنحة مجانية طوال سنوات الدراسة.

2- الحصول على الثانوية العامة من مدرسة حكومية مصرية بمجموع درجات لا يقل عن الحد الأدنى لدرجات القبول المقررة من مجلس الجامعات الخاصة والأهلية لكل كلية من كليات الجامعة.

3- إجتياز الإختبارات المقررة حسب التخصص المطلوب.

4- ألا يكون قد تقدم للالتحاق بأي كلية بالجامعات الخاصة أو الأهلية.

5- بالنسبة للحالات الإجتماعية برجاء إحضار المستندات اللازمة، وسوف تقوم الجامعة ببحث إجتماعى للطلاب.

6- التقدم للحصول على المنحة في موعد غايته 18 سبتمبر 2024. 

7- يشترط لاستمرار تمتع الطالب بالمنحة المجانية:

      – الحصول على تقدير جيد على الأقل عند انتقاله إلى الفرقة الدراسية الأعلى.

      – إلتزام السلوك الطلابي القويم واحترام التقاليد الجامعية.

Successful Completion of the Free Introductory Organic Chemistry Workshop at MIU

The Community Service Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Misr International University (MIU), successfully organized a free introductory Organic Chemistry Workshop on July 23rd and 24th. This workshop was designed for American Diploma students interested in pursuing a career in pharmacy, either at MIU or other universities.

A total of 30 pharmacy applicants participated in the workshop, which provided a solid foundation in Organic Chemistry, an essential subject for success in pharmacy programs. The attendees from both MIU and other institutions benefited from the expert guidance of Pharmacy Faculty members and had the opportunity to network with their peers.

The sessions covered various pharmacy career pathways, giving students a comprehensive overview of their future possibilities in the field. They also visited the Organic Chemistry Lab to gain hands-on experience with the Discovery Studio Program, learning about its role in drug synthesis.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the interactive sessions and comprehensive content, highlighting the valuable insights and practical knowledge gained.

ورشة عمل ناجحة عن مبادئ الكيمياء العضوية لطلاب الدبلوم الأمريكي الراغبين في الالتحاق بكليات الصيدلة

نظمت كلية الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية ورشة عمل لطلاب الدبلوم الأمريكي الراغبين في الالتحاق بكليات الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية أو غيرها من الجامعات.
شارك في الورشة 30 طالبًا وطالبة، وتناولت الجلسات أسس دراسة الكيمياء العضوية واستفاد الحاضرون من المحتوى العلمي المتميز الذي قدمه أعضاء هيئة التدريس ذوي الخبرة كما أتيحت لهم الفرصة للتواصل مع أقرانهم.
تناولت الجلسة الأولى المسارات المختلفة لمهن الصيدلة، مما أعطى الطلاب نظرة شاملة على فرص العمل المستقبلية في هذا المجال. كما زار الطلاب معامل الكيمياء العضوية وحضروا عرضًا توضيحيًا حول كيفية التعرف على المواد العضوية المختلفة. كما حصلوا على تجربة عملية باستخدام برنامج Discovery Studio وأهميته في تركيب الأدوية. أعرب المشاركون عن تقديرهم للدورات التفاعلية ومحتواها الشامل.

The Faculty of Business Administration held a workshop on the real estate market in Egypt

The presenters were Mr. Mourad Ahmed, CEO of Egy Property Real Estate Company, Mr. Ahmed Fetian, Director of Sales at Travco Properties, Mr. Abdallah El Sawan, Marketing Manager at Egy Property, Dr. Ahmed Fikry, Associate Professor of Economics at Misr International University and Dr. Sara Ezz El Din, Assistant Professor of Finance at Misr International University.
The session was both informative and engaging. It started by giving students an overview of the real estate market in Egypt from the economic, financial and marketing perspectives. It ended with running a live media marketing campaign where students solved problems from real cases provided by Egy Property.

ورشة عمل عن سوق العقارات في مصر

أقامت كلية إدارة الأعمال ورشة عمل عن سوق العقارات في مصر تحدث بها كل من السيد مراد أحمد، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة إيجي بروبرتي العقارية والسيد أحمد فتيان، مدير المبيعات بشركة ترافكو العقارية والسيد عبد الله الصوان، مدير التسويق بشركة إيجي العقارية والدكتور أحمد فكري، أستاذ الاقتصاد بجامعة مصر الدولية ود. سارة عز الدين، المدرس بقسم المالية بجامعة مصر الدولية. أثناء الندوة قدم المتحدثون لمحة عامة عن سوق العقارات في مصر من النواحي الاقتصادية والمالية والتسويقية وأقام الطلاب حملة دعاية وقاموا بحل مشكلات حقيقية في سوق العقارات مقدمة من شركة إيجي العقارية.

MIU Pharmacy 2024 Preceptorship Day Celebrating Excellence and Fostering Growth in Pharmacy Education

To strengthen the relationship with our esteemed pharmacy preceptors, the MIU Office of Pharmacy Experiential Training organized its annual Pharmacy Preceptorship Day on July 6th, 2024. The primary goal of the event was to honour the commitment and excellence of our preceptors at MIU-affiliated training sites, including hospitals, community pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies.

Throughout the day, participating pharmacists engaged in professional development sessions on leadership, communication skills and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in pharmacy to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate and lead in the evolving landscape of pharmacy education and practice.

The event concluded with certificates of appreciation awarded to preceptors who trained our students during Summer 2023.

اليوم السنوي للصيادلة المشرفين 2024

نظم مكتب التدريب الصيدلي التابع لكلية الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية اليوم السنوي للصيادلة المشرفين في 6 يوليو 2024. وكان الهدف الرئيسي لهذا اليوم هو تكريم التزام وتميز الصيادلة المشرفين في مواقع التدريب التابعة للجامعة بما في ذلك المستشفيات وصيدليات المجتمع وشركات الأدوية.
على مدار اليوم شارك الصيادلة الحاضرون في جلسات تطوير مهنية متنوعة تركز على القيادة ومهارات الاتصال وتطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي في مجال الصيدلة لتزويدهم بالمعرفة والمهارات اللازمة لممارسة الصيدلة.
وفي ختام اليوم تم منح شهادات تقدير للصيادلة الذين أشرفوا على تدريب الطلاب خلال صيف 2023.
