Misr International University invited Professor Naser Z. Alsharif to visit the Faculty of Pharmacy from February 26 to March 11, 2016. Prof. Alsharif, Ph.D., Professor of Pharmacy Sciences Creighton University School of Pharmacy & Health Professions was invited as a part of MIU’s continuing efforts to develop its educational process and provide the market with a generation of highly skilled and creative professionals.

During his visit, Dr. Alsharif taught third year pharmacy students the “Structure Activity Relationship of Antipsychotic and Antidepressant Drugs.” He also held several seminars for teaching assistant development on the following topics: “Role of the Pharmacist in Ambulatory Care” and “Principles of Toxicology in Chemical Research”.

Professor Alsharif also held two faculty development meetings with the department of medicinal chemistry where he did discussed the SAR of antihistamines and NSAIDS. To the curriculum development committee, he presented on “Integration of the Basic Science in the Curriculum” and new topics delivery.

Dr. Hira Shafiq, Pharm D, BCPS is visiting the Faculty of Pharmacy, MIU, from April 6^th to April19^th, 2019. During her visit, Dr Shafiq will give lectures to 4th year pharmacy students on cardiovascular diseases and their proper pharmacotherapeutic approaches. In addition, she will highlight the role of clinical pharmacy in the ambulatory care setting, as well as the advances in cardiovascular medications.

Prof. Dr. Naser Z. Alsharif, Pharm.D., Ph.D. Professor of Pharmacy Sciences, School of Pharmacy & Health Professions, Creighton University, is visiting the Faculty of Pharmacy, MIU, from February 23rd till March 5th , 2020. During this period, Dr. Alsharif will be teaching to the third year Pharmacy students part of the Medicinal Chemistry II course. He will be also holding a seminar for Pharmacy and Dentistry staff.

Prof. Rowena Schwartz, Pharm D, BCOP, visited the Faculty of Pharmacy, MIU, from February 18^th till February 22^nd, 2018. During her visit, Dr Schwartz taught the 5th year pharmacy students the common oncologic diseases and their pharmacotherapeutic approaches. She also discussed the role of Clinical Pharmacy in the oncology domain, necessary chemotherapy patient follow up and counseling concepts that will lead to the advancement of health conditions in Egypt.

Prof. Ebtesam Ahmed, Pharm D, St John’s University, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, New York, USA, visited the Faculty of Pharmacy, MIU, from September 29th till October 10th, 2019. During her visit, Dr. Ebtesam gave lectures to 5th year pharmacy students on a variety of medical topics such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Hepatitis C and Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome. She effectively covered the recent guidelines and pharmacotherapeutic approaches used in management of these diseases.

The lectures will also include explanation of the supportive care required for cancer patients.
