A team from the Accreditation agency in Health and Social Sciences – AHPGS made a field visit to the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine as part of the undergraduate program accreditation process. The visit lasted for two days 10^th and 11^th of February 2025 and included experts in the field of medical education, dentistry, and quality assurance.

The visit included meetings with the university’s management, faculty administration, heads of departments and course coordinators, several faculty members and teaching assistants, students, interns, and a group of alumni. The visiting team also inspected the various resources at the university and the faculty including lecture halls, labs, Dental Clinics Complex and the library.

The German AHPGS is an independent body for academic accreditation in the field of health and social sciences and has accredited many programs in European and Arab countries. It also accredited three nursing faculties in Egypt last year.

زيارة خبراء هيئة AHPGS لإعتماد برنامج البكالوريوس بكلية طب الفم والأسنان

قام فريق من هيئة الاعتماد الدولي AHPGS بزيارة ميدانية لكلية طب الفم والأسنان في إطار عملية إعتماد برنامج البكالوريوس بالكلية. استمرت الزيارة لمدة يومين 10 و 11 فبراير 2025 وضم فريق الزيارة خبراء في مجال التعليم الطبي وطب الأسنان والجودة.

اشتملت الزيارة على عقد لقاءات مع الإدارة العليا للجامعة ،إدارة الكلية، رؤساء الأقسام ومنسقي المقررات، عدد من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والهيئة المعاونة، الطلاب، أطباء الامتياز ومجموعة من الخريجين. كما قام فريق الزيارة بتفقد الامكانيات المختلفة في الجامعة والكلية من قاعات تدريس ومعامل ومجمع العيادات والمكتبة.

الجدير بالذكر أن الهيئة الألمانية AHPGS هي هيئة مستقلة للاعتماد الأكاديمي في مجال العلوم الصحية والاجتماعية وقد اعتمدت العديد من البرامج في الدول الأوروبية والعربية. كما قامت باعتماد ثلاثة كليات تمريض في مصر خلال العام السابق.

في إطار التزامها المستمر بالتطوير والسعي نحو الاعتماد الدولي، يسر كلية طب الفم والأسنان بجامعة مصر الدولية أن تستضيف وفدًا من وكالة الاعتماد الدولية في العلوم الصحية والاجتماعية  (AHPGS)، وهي هيئة اعتماد أوروبية مقرها ألمانيا.

ستقوم الهيئة بزيارة تستغرق يومين، من يوم الاثنين 10 فبراير 2025 حتى يوم الثلاثاء 11 فبراير 2025، لتقييم العملية التعليمية ومعايير الجودة بالكلية.

تعكس هذه الزيارة التزام الكلية بتحقيق التميز في تعليم طب الأسنان وضمان تخرج طلابها وفقًا للمعايير الدولية.

As part of its commitment to continuous improvement and the pursuit of international accreditation, the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Misr International University will host a delegation from the Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences (AHPGS), a European accreditation body based in Germany.

The AHPGS agency will conduct a two-day visit from Monday, February 10- Tuesday, February 11, 2025, to evaluate the faculty’s educational processes and quality standards.

The visiting committee includes Prof. Dr. Werner Birglechner – DIPLOMA University, Private University of Applied Sciences North Hessen, Germany, Dr. med. Maximilian Dilger – Dres. Schwerdtfeger & Selbherr, Germany, Prof. Dr. Dr. Dennis Rottke – University for Digital Technologies in Medicine and Dentistry, Luxembourg, Rebecca Scriba – Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg, Germany, Corina Sutter – Quality assurance consultant from AHPGS.

This visit reflects the faculty’s dedication to achieving excellence in dental education and ensuring its graduates meet international standards.

On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine hosted a specialized workshop exploring the concepts, applications and research challenges of artificial intelligence in dentistry. This workshop is a direct result of the ongoing collaboration between the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine and the Faculty of Computer Science, demonstrating a commitment to interdisciplinary advancement in both education and research. The workshop offered a valuable forum for discussing AI’s transformative impact on the future of dental practice and research.

The event, attended by Faculty and teaching assistants from various departments, emphasized MIU’s commitment to fostering innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration in both education and research. The workshop was very well received, achieving an overall evaluation score of 4.46/5 (92.8%) and an even higher score of 4.82/5 (96.4%) for the instructors. Attendees expressed strong support for continued collaboration between the two faculties and recommended further workshops and initiatives to explore the intersection of AI and dentistry.

ورشة عمل الذكاء الاصطناعي في طب الأسنان – المفاهيم والتطبيقات والتحديات البحثية

استضافت كلية طب الفم والأسنان بالتعاون مع كلية الحاسبات والمعلومات يوم الأربعاء الموافق 8 يناير 2025 ورشة عمل متخصصة تناولت المفاهيم والتطبيقات والتحديات البحثية للذكاء الاصطناعي في طب الأسنان.

تعد ورشة العمل هذه نتيجة مباشرة للتعاون المستمر بين الكليتين مما يدل على الالتزام بالتقدم متعدد التخصصات في كل من التعليم والبحث.

قدمت ورشة العمل فرصة قيمة لمناقشة تأثير الذكاء الاصطناعي على مستقبل ممارسة طب الأسنان والبحث العلمي فيه.

وقد لاقت ورشة العمل استحسانًا كبيرًا حيث حققت درجة تقييم إجمالية قدرها 4.46/5 (92.8%) ودرجة أعلى بلغت 4.82/5 (96.4%) للمدربين.

وقد أعرب الحاضرون عن دعمهم القوي لاستمرار التعاون بين الكليتين وأوصوا بإقامة ورش عمل ومبادرات أخرى لاستكشاف مجالات أخرى لاستخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي في طب الأسنان.
