مرة أخرى، تم تصنيف جامعة مصر الدولية من بين أفضل الجامعات عالميًا وفقًا لتصنيف التايمز البريطاني. احتلت الجامعة موقعًا متميزًا ضمن الفئة 601-800 في هذه المسابقة الدولية التي ضمت أكثر من 1500 مؤسسة أكاديمية. واستندت لجنة التصنيف في قرارها إلى الإجراءات التي تتخذها جامعة مصر الدولية لتحقيق أهداف الأمم المتحدة للتنمية المستدامة من خلال أربع مجالات رئيسية هي البحث والإشراف والتوعية والتعليم. شملت جهود الجامعة 11 هدفًا وتفوقت في مساهمتها في الهدف 12 “الاستهلاك والإنتاج المسؤولان”، والهدف 6 “المياه النظيفة والصرف الصحي” على وجه الخصوص. كما احتلت مراتب جيدة في الهدف 1 “لا للفقر” والهدف 3 “الصحة الجيدة والرفاهية” والهدف 5 “المساواة بين الجنسين” والهدف 11 “المدن والمجتمعات المستدامة” والهدف 16 “السلام والعدل والمؤسسات القوية” والهدف 17 “الشراكة من أجل الأهداف “. ويعد الإنجاز الذي حققته الجامعة هذا العام دافعًا لاتخاذ المزيد من الإجراءات والمبادرات المستقبلية بهدف ايجاد الحلول للتحديات العالمية الملحة وجعل العالم مكانًا أفضل.
The University Community Service Committee ,in cooperation with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, organized a workshop
on Monday 21st of January 2019 entitled “Advanced Research Methods”. it was introduced by Prof. Ashraf F Nabhan, Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ain Shams University, Co-Chair of the Advisory Board of the HRP Alliance, WHO and Associate Editor of Cochrane Pregnancy and Child Birth. The workshop focused on different study designs including prevalence studies, case-control, cohort as well as prognostic studies. The workshop was mainly designed for members of both research and ethics committees as well as faculty members and teaching assistants from both the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine and the Faculty of Pharmacy.
The instructor was rated excellent by 75% of the participants, very good by 25%.
In cooperation with Egyptian Knowledge Bank, a workshop entitled “The University Impact Rankings” was held by the University Community Services and Environmental Affairs Committee on Wednesday the 24th of April 2019. It was introduced by Prof. Samaa EL Dek, Head of the Department of Materials Science and Nanotechnology and Director of the International Classification Office at Beni Suef University. The workshop objective was to discuss the University Impact Rankings based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the SDG17 – Partnerships Goal – is mandatory, plus three or more elective SDGs from the list of non-mandatory SDGS.
Members of the university ranking committee attended the workshop. The instructor was rated excellent by 50% of the participants and very good by 50%. The attendees asked for continuous workshops as well as hands on applications.
University Community Services and Environmental Affairs Committee organized a workshop entitled “Developing Successful journal” held In cooperation with Egyptian Knowledge workshop was held on Tuesday the 19th of November 2019. The was introduced by Dr. Alison Green, Academic Publishing Consultant, currently working at Nature Research.
The objectives of the workshop were to improve the author experience of the journal, develop a strong peer review platform, improve visibility worldwide, and get indexed in the databases to improve discoverability.
Staff members and teaching assistants from all faculties of the university attended the workshop. The instructor was rated excellent by (75%) of the participants, and (25%) very good by.
In cooperation with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, the third workshop entitled “University Impact Rankings” was organized by the University Community Services and Environmental Affairs Committee. It was held on Wednesday the 25th of September 2019 and introduced by Associate Prof. Samaa EL Dek, Head of the Department of Materials Science and Nanotechnology and Director of the International Classification Office at Beni Suef University.
The objectives of the workshop were to evaluate and discuss the data needed from each faculty regarding the Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Members of the university ranking committee attended the workshop. The instructor was rated excellent by 50% of the participants, very good by 33.3% and fair by 16.7%. The attendees asked for continuous workshops as well as hands on applications.
A workshop entitled “Nanoscience and Nanotechnology: Fundamentals, Fabrication Techniques and Applications” was organized by MIU Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee, in cooperation with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, on Monday the 15th of April 2019. The workshop facilitator was Prof. Ahmed A.Farghali, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Advanced Science, and Head of the Scientific Research Development Unit, Beni-Suef University. The workshop aimed to introduce nanotechnology applications, facilitate scientific research collaboration, discuss opportunities for publishing research papers in indexed journals, and assist graduate students to modify their research ideas.
Post graduate students from the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine and staff members from the Faculty of Pharmacy attended the workshop. The instructor was rated excellent by (75%) of the participants, very good by (25%). The attendees asked for holding workshops on more regular basis as well as providing hands on applications.
تم عقد ورشة عمل يوم الأربعاء الموافق ٢٠١٨/٩/٢٦ بحضور رئيس الجامعة ونوابها وعمداء الكليات وذلك بغرض التوعية بأهمية التصنيف الدولي للجامعة ودور القيادات الجامعية في نشر الوعي بين أعضاء هيئة التدريس والجهاز المعاون على مستوي كليات الجامعة.
بدأت الندوة بمحاضرة للأستاذ الدكتور خالد عصفور وكيل كلية الهندسة لشئون الدراسات العليا عن تصنيف (QS) ومعايير التصنيف العالمي والفارق بين التصنيف الدولي (Ranking) والترتيب بنظام الخمس نجوم Rating)). وأشار إلى أهمية أن تقوم كل كلية بإجراء دراسة مبدئية لموقفها الحالي من الترتيب بنظام الخمس نجوم حتى يتسنى للجامعة وضع رؤية لتحسين التصنيف العالمي للجامعة.
ثم قام الأستاذ الدكتور إيهاب سعيد مدير مركز الأبحاث بالجامعة بإلقاء الضوء حول أهمية البحث العلمي في أنظمة التصنيف العالمي المختلفة، وأعطي مثالاً لنظامين من أنظمة التصنيف العالمي وهما نظام
(QS and Times Higher Education) وما يمثله البحث العلمي من نسبة مئوية من معايير التصنيف بالإضافة إلى بعض الإجراءات التي من شأنها أن تزيد من فرص التصنيف المتقدم للجامعة.
وختاماً قام بعرض ترتيب الجامعات المصرية في تصنيف (QS) وتصنيف (THE) لعام 2018.
وفي الجزء الأخير من الندوة قام الأستاذ الدكتور أيمن بهاء عميد كلية الحاسبات والمعلومات بشرح حقوق الملكية الفكرية في مصر بالإضافة إلى مكاتب التسويق ونقل التكنولوجيا بالإضافة إلى أنواع البحث العلمي ومتطلباته ومعيقاته. كما قام بعرض مفصل عن إجراءات إنشاء مكتب براءات الاختراع ونقل المعرفة (TICO) بالتعاون مع أكاديمية البحث العلمي والتكنولوجيا.
وفي نهاية الندوة قام الأستاذ الدكتور شبل الكومي رئيس الجامعة والسادة النواب والعمداء بمناقشة المردود الإيجابي لنشر ثقافة العمل الجماعي والوعي بأهمية التصنيف العالمي للجامعة وتوحيد الجهود في هذا الشأن عن طريق حسن استغلال موارد الجامعة المادية والبشرية.
On Monday 8th January 2018, Misr International University organized a workshop about Plagiarism and EndNote Reference Manager. The workshop was conducted by Prof. Dr. Ehab Saeed; Director – Research Center at Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine and was attended by seventy-three staff members representing all faculties. The workshop was divided into two sections; the aim of the first workshop was to introduce the concept of plagiarism, how to detect it and how to apply plagiarism checkers. The second workshop was about EndNote Reference Manager and how to use it. The Plagiarism workshop was evaluated as excellent by (41.1%) attendees, very good (31.5%), good (21.9%) and fair by (5.5%) of the attendees. EndNote Reference Manager workshop was ranked excellent by (31.5%) of the attendees, very good (31.5%), good (28.8%) and fair by (8.2%) of the attendees.
Prof. Dr. Ehab Saeed invited all staff members to send their scientific papers to the Research Center at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine for plagiarism checking before publication.
The University Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee organized in cooperation with Egyptian Knowledge Bank, organized a workshop on Sunday 9th of September 2018 entitled “Research Funding and Collaboration”.
This was introduced by Consultancy Services and Client Education (MENA team) and Clarivate Analytics.
The objectives of the workshop were to answer the following questions:
Who is funding what in a certain research field/country?
What are the existing possible mechanisms for getting funds for research projects?
What are the possible practices that help to generate an economic value of the research done?
How to enhance the researcher’s chances of getting accepted for funding?
How do funders evaluate funding applications?
How to enhance the benefits and reduce the risks of collaboration in research.
The instructors were rated excellent by 46.7% of the participants, very good by 40.0%, and good by (13.3%).
The University Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee conducted a workshop in collaboration with The Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) and Elsevier.
The workshop entitled “Overview of Scival” was held on Sunday the 15th of July 2018 and was introduced by Dr. Yahya Eissa, customer consultant, Research management, Elsevier, and Dr Mohamed Amir, regional manager, Elsevier. The objectives of the workshop were were o explaint what is scival, the use of scival, how scival works, how we access Scival and Scival modules.
A total of 40 Staff members and teaching assistants from all university faculties attended the workshop.
The instructor was rated excellent by 9.1% of the participants, very good by 66.7%, and good by 21.2%.
