ظهرت جامعة مصر الدولية في تصنيفحصلت جامعة مصر الدولية في نسخة يوليو 2024 من تصنيف الويبومتريكس على المركز 4038 عالميًا من بين 12012 جامعة على مستوى العالم والمركز 38 بين 81 جامعة مصرية والمركز 219 بين 1366 جامعة عربية والمركز 184 بين 2060 جامعة أفريقية والمركز 418 بين 1324 جامعة من الشرق الأوسط وأخيراً المركز 313 من بين 4420 جامعة من دول مجموعة CIVETS للأسواق الناشئة (كولومبيا وإندونيسيا وفيتنام ومصر وتركيا وجنوب إفريقيا).

ويعد تصنيف ويبوميتريكس، الذي يصدر مرتين سنويًا في شهري يناير ويوليو، هو الأكبر في العالم من حيث عدد مؤسسات التعليم العالي التي يتم تحليلها، اعتمادًا على تأثير محتويات الموقع الإلكتروني للجامعة وعدد الباحثين الأعلى استشهادًا في قاعدة بيانات جوجل سكولار وعدد الأبحاث المدرجة ضمن أعلى (10%) استشهادًا في قاعدة بيانات سيماجو.

ظهرت جامعة مصر الدولية في تصنيف سايماجو الأسباني للعام الثاني على التوالي وهو تصنيف للمؤسسات الأكاديمية والبحثية يستخدم ثلاثة معايير رئيسة هي الأداء البحثي والابتكار والتأثير المجتمعي من خلال ظهور تلك الأنشطة على الموقع الإلكتروني. تظهر نتائج التصنيف لكل معيار ثم يتم حساب الترتيب العام للجامعة.

أ. الترتيب العام للجامعة عالميًا ومحليًا وإقليميًا خلال عامي 2022 و 2023

احتفظت كلية طب الفم والأسنان بالجامعة بالمركز الأول على الجامعات الخاصة المصرية للعام الثاني على التوالي مع تحسن الترتيب على مستوى مصر وأفريقيا بينما تراجع الترتيب تراجعًا طفيفًا على المستوى العالمي والعربي والشرق أوسطي.

ثانيًا: تصنيف ويبومتريكس Webometrics

تظهر جامعة مصر الدولية في تصنيف Webometrics للعام الثاني على التوالي وهو تصنيف يهدف إلى تحسين وجود الجامعات على الإنترنت وتشجيع الوصول المفتوح Open access إلى المعلومات والأبحاث والمعارف التي تنشرها الجامعة. يعتمد التصنيف على ثلاثة معايير رئيسة هي الظهور Visibility وتعني قياس تأثير محتوى الموقع الإلكتروني للجامعة عن طريق الشبكات الخارجية المرتبطة به، الانفتاح Openness وهو عدد الباحثين الذين تم الاستشهاد بهم بواسطة أفضل 310 من الباحثين على مستوى العالم وأخيرًا التميز Excellence وهو عدد الأبحاث التي تم الاستشهاد بها بين أفضل 10% ورقة بحثية في 27 تخصصًا مختلفًا من خلال قاعدة البيانات خلال فترة السنوات الخمس السابقة.

ويوضح الجدول التالي الترتيب العام للجامعة عالميًا ومحليًا وإقليميًا خلال عامي 2022 و 2023 ويتضح من النتائج حدوث تحسن طفيف في ترتيب الجامعة على المستوى العالمي والمحلي والأفريقي بينما تراجع الترتيب تراجعًا طفيفًا على مستوى العالم العربي والشرق الأوسط.

In the July 2024 edition of the Webometrics Ranking, Misr International University ranked: 4038^th globally out of 12012 universities in the world, 38^th among 81 Egyptian universities, 219^th among 1366 Arab universities, 184^th among 2060 African universities, 418^th among 1324 universities from the Middle East, and finally 313^th out of 4420 universities from countries of the CIVETS Group for Emerging Markets (Colombia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Egypt, Turkey and South Africa).

Webometrics Ranking, which is released twice a year in January and July, is the largest in the world in terms of the number of higher education institutions analyzed, based on the impact of the contents of the university’s website, the number of researchers cited in the Google Scholar database and the number of papers listed in the top 10% citations in the Scimago database.

1. Scimago Institutions Ranking (SIR)

For the second year in a row, Misr International University is listed in Scimago Institutions Ranking (SIR). Scimago ranking is a classification of academic and research institutions, which depends upon three indicators: research, innovation, and social characteristics of the institution. A score is calculated for each indicator to obtain the overall score of the institution.

A. Overall Rank of MIU (2022-2023)

The results show an improvement in MIU rank at the international and African levels, while there is a decline at the Egyptian, Arab world, and Middle Eastern levels.

B. International Rank of MIU According to Percentiles (2022-2023)

Universities are classified into percentiles as shown in Table 2. Results reveal that there is an improvement in the overall rank, innovation as well as social indicators. There is a decline in research indicator.

The ranking shows the best three subject areas each university is distinguished for. Misr International University excels in Dentistry, Computer Science, Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Pharmaceutics.

I. Dentistry

For the second year in row, the university occupies the first rank among all private universities in Egypt. There is an improvement in the rank at the Egyptian as well as African levels and a decline at the international, Arab world, and Middle Eastern levels.

For the second year in row, the university occupies the second rank among all private universities in Egypt. There was an improvement in the rank at all levels.

2. Webometrics Ranking of World Universities

For the second year in a row, Misr International University is listed in Webometrics ranking. It is a ranking that aims to improve the universities presence on the internet and encourage open access to information and research published by the university. The ranking is based on three main criteria. The first criterion is visibility, which means measuring the impact of the content of the university website through the external networks associated with it. The second criterion is openness which is the number of researchers cited by the best 310 researchers in the world. Finally, the third criterion is excellence which is the number of research cited among the top 10% of research papers in 27 different specializations from the database during the last five years.

The results show an improvement at the international, national and African levels, and a decline at the Arab countries and Middle Eastern levels.

بالنسبة للترتيب العام للجامعات حصلت جامعة مصر الدولية على المركز ٦٨٨ من بين ٤٣٦٤ جامعة على مستوى العالم في التصنيف، وجاءت في المركز ١٤ بين 42 جامعة مصرية والمركز 43 بين 276 جامعة عربية و المركز 48 بين 244 جامعة إفريقية وأخيرً المركز 87 بين 494 جامعة من الشرق الأوسط.

For the first time, Misr International University (MIU) was ranked by the Spanish Simago Ranking which is an international body for classifying academic and research institutions.  Ranking is based on collecting and evaluating the activities of the institution featured on the internet in relation to three main criteria: research performance, innovation, and societal impact.

As for the general ranking of universities, MIU ranked 688 globally out of 4364 universities, and came in the 14^th place among 42 Egyptian universities, 43^rd place among 276 Arab universities, 48^th place among 244 African universities, and finally 87^th place among 494 universities from the Middle East.

Universities are divided into ranks according to percentiles. According to this division, the university ranked 65% as a general assessment, 69% in the research performance standard, 48% in the innovation standard and 96% in the societal impact standard.

The following figure shows a comparison of the percentages of the university with other universities globally, regionally and locally.

On Wednesday the 12th of October 2022, the International Ranking Awareness and Data Collection Committee held a workshop entitled “Publish your Research Open Access with Springer Nature Funded by STDF in collaboration with EKB – Egypt” presented by Dr. Nabil Khelifi, Senior Editor at Springer Nature Publishing Company. The session covered the following topics: Overview Open Access Agreement for Egypt, Guide to Publishing Open Access with Springer Nature, and the Author Open Access Journey Q&A.

A total of 62 faculty members and teaching assistants from all university faculties attended the workshop. The instructor’s evaluation was 9.4 out of 10. The workshop evaluation was 9.1 out of 10.

حققت جامعة مصر الدولية إنجازًا مهمًا، حيث تم تصنيفها من بين أفضل الجامعات في العالم في تصنيف التايمز للتعليم العالي. وجاء تصنيف جامعة مصر الدولية بين أفضل 801-1000، لتنضم بذلك إلى صفوف المؤسسات الأكثر مساهمة في تحقيق أهداف الأمم المتحدة للتنمية المستدامة.

MIU’s position is largely attributed to its remarkable achievements in SDG3 (Good Health and Wellbeing), SDG6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).

Once again, the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Ranking, reaffirms the position of Misr International University among the top universities worldwide.

MIU was placed in the band of 601-800 in this international ranking system that included more than 1500 academic institutions. THE based its decision on MIU continued efforts to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across four keys areas: research, stewardship, outreach, and education.

MIU worked on fulfilling eleven SDGs. The university excelled in its contribution to SDG 12- “Responsible Consumption and Production”, SDG 6- “Clean Water and Sanitation. It also achieved high ranks in SDG 1- “No Poverty, SDG 3- “Good Health and Wellbeing”, SDG 5- “Gender Equality, SDG 11-“Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 16- “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions’ and SDG 17- “Partnership for the Goals”.
