Oral Health Awareness Campaign at the MIU Dental Clinic Complex

The Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee, Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine organized an awareness campaign for the patients in the waiting area of the MIU Dental Clinic Complex. The event, a collaboration with the World Dental Federation (FDI) was conducted by 7 female and male dental interns under the guidance of faculty staff members. The campaign took place on Thursday, February 20^th, 2025,

In celebration of World Oral Health Day, the campaign focused on educating patients about oral and dental health, highlighting the importance of proper hygiene practices. The dental interns provided information about common oral diseases and demonstrated effective methods for maintaining oral hygiene. As part of the initiative, 140 toothbrushes and toothpastes were distributed to all male and female patients attending the clinic.

حملة توعية لصحة الفم والأسنان في مجمع العيادات بكلية طب الفم والأسنان

في يوم الخميس 20 فبراير 2025، نظمت لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بكلية طب الفم والأسنان حملة توعية للمرضى في إستراحة الإنتظار بمجمع العيادات بكلية طب الفم والأسنان بالجامعة، وذلك بالتعاون مع الاتحاد الدولي الفدرالي لطب الأسنان (FDI)، وبمشاركة 7 من أطباء وطبيبات الإمتياز تحت إشراف السادة أعضاء هيئة التدريس والمعاونين.

تم خلال الحملة توعية المرضى بأهمية صحة الفم والأسنان، حيث قام الأطباء بشرح الأمراض الشائعة في الفم والأسنان وطرق العناية بصحة الفم على هامش اللاحتفال باليوم العالمى لصحة الفم و الاسنان. كما تم توزيع 140 فرشاة ومعجون أسنان على المرضى من الذكور والإناث في مجمع العيادات.

Training for the Teaching Assistants of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

On the sidelines of the agreement between the Faculty of Dentistry and the Operation Smile Association in Egypt, the teaching assistants from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery were invited on Friday, February 21, 2025, to the Global Medical City Center, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, to participate in the examination and diagnosis of patients with cleft lip and palate, alongside a group of local and international specialized physicians from the association. This was part of their preparation for performing surgical operations. Four teaching assistants from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Faculty participated in this event.

على هامش الإتفاقية المبرمة بين كلية طب الفم والأسنان وجمعية الإبتسامة – مصر تم دعوة أعضاء الهيئة المعاونة بقسم جراحة الوجه والفكين بيوم الجمعة الموافق 21 فبراير 2025 بمركز جلوبال ميديكال سيتي بقسم جراحه الفم والوجه والفكين للمشاركة بعملية الفحص والكشف على مرضى الشق الحلقي والشفاه الأرنبية مع نخبة من الأطباء المتخصصين المحليين والدوليين بالجمعية، في اطار تهيئنهم لاجراء العمليات الجراحيه ،وقد حضر أربعة أعضاء من الهيئة المعاونة بقسم جراحة الفم والوجه والفكين بكلية طب الفم والأسنان بالجامعة.

Misr International University (MIU) Recognized in Webometrics Rankings for Fourth Year

MIU has been featured in the January 2025 edition of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities for the fourth year in a row. It improved its standing from last year, ranking 3,871st globally out of 31,364 universities and 33rd out of 79 Egyptian universities.

This Webometrics Ranking is the largest global assessment of higher education institutions. It ranks universities based on website content impact, Google Scholar citations of researchers and the number of papers within the top 10% of citations in the Scimago database over the period of five years.

ظهور جامعة مصر الدولية في تصنيف ويبومتركس للعام الرابع على التوالي

ظهرت جامعة مصر الدولية في نسخة يناير 2025 من تصنيف ويبومتركس للجامعات للمرة الرابعة على التوالي وقد تحسن ترتيب الجامعة مقارنة بالعام الماضي حيث جاءت في المركز 3871 عالميًا من بين 31364 جامعة في التصنيف العام والمركز 33 بين 79 جامعة مصرية.

تصنيف ويبومتركس هو الأكبر في العالم من حيث عدد مؤسسات التعليم العالي التي يتم تحليلها اعتمادًا على تأثير محتويات الموقع الإلكتروني للجامعة وعدد الباحثين الأعلى استشهادًا في قاعدة بيانات جوجل سكولار وعدد الأبحاث المدرجة ضمن أعلى (10%) استشهادًا في قاعدة بيانات سيماجو خلال الخمس سنوات السابقة.

AHPGS experts visit to the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine

A team from the Accreditation agency in Health and Social Sciences – AHPGS made a field visit to the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine as part of the undergraduate program accreditation process. The visit lasted for two days 10^th and 11^th of February 2025 and included experts in the field of medical education, dentistry, and quality assurance.

The visit included meetings with the university’s management, faculty administration, heads of departments and course coordinators, several faculty members and teaching assistants, students, interns, and a group of alumni. The visiting team also inspected the various resources at the university and the faculty including lecture halls, labs, Dental Clinics Complex and the library.

The German AHPGS is an independent body for academic accreditation in the field of health and social sciences and has accredited many programs in European and Arab countries. It also accredited three nursing faculties in Egypt last year.

زيارة خبراء هيئة AHPGS لإعتماد برنامج البكالوريوس بكلية طب الفم والأسنان

قام فريق من هيئة الاعتماد الدولي AHPGS بزيارة ميدانية لكلية طب الفم والأسنان في إطار عملية إعتماد برنامج البكالوريوس بالكلية. استمرت الزيارة لمدة يومين 10 و 11 فبراير 2025 وضم فريق الزيارة خبراء في مجال التعليم الطبي وطب الأسنان والجودة.

اشتملت الزيارة على عقد لقاءات مع الإدارة العليا للجامعة ،إدارة الكلية، رؤساء الأقسام ومنسقي المقررات، عدد من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والهيئة المعاونة، الطلاب، أطباء الامتياز ومجموعة من الخريجين. كما قام فريق الزيارة بتفقد الامكانيات المختلفة في الجامعة والكلية من قاعات تدريس ومعامل ومجمع العيادات والمكتبة.

الجدير بالذكر أن الهيئة الألمانية AHPGS هي هيئة مستقلة للاعتماد الأكاديمي في مجال العلوم الصحية والاجتماعية وقد اعتمدت العديد من البرامج في الدول الأوروبية والعربية. كما قامت باعتماد ثلاثة كليات تمريض في مصر خلال العام السابق.

Fundamentals of Deep Learning Workshop- a collaboration between NVIDIA and Misr International University

The Faculty of Computer Science at Misr International University (MIU), teamed up with NVIDIA to organize a workshop titled Fundamentals of Deep Learning. This hands-on training session took place from January 27, 2025, to January 30, 2025, providing in-depth coverage of key deep learning concepts.

This specialized workshop was designed for senior students and academic staff, offering a unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge and skills in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence (AI).

The Fundamentals of Deep Learning workshop is designed to provide participants with deep technical insights into AI and accelerated computing. NVIDIA, a global leader in AI technology, delivers cutting-edge training for developers, data scientists, technical artists, and researchers aiming to tackle complex challenges through advanced AI methodologies.

This workshop was conducted by Dr. Ahmed Mansour, an NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) Ambassador, who brought his expertise to guide participants through the core concepts and practical applications of deep learning.

Participants explored the transformative power of deep learning, an advanced AI approach that leverages multi-layered artificial neural networks to deliver state-of-the-art accuracy in various critical applications.

At the end of the workshop, participants who successfully completed the training received an official certificate, recognizing their achievement in deep learning and AI fundamentals.

شركة NVIDIA وجامعة مصر الدولية: ينظمان ورشة عمل أساسيات التعلم العميق

أقامت كلية المعلومات والحاسبات بجامعة مصر الدولية (MIU)، بالتعاون مع شركة NVIDIA، ورشة عمل بعنوان أساسيات التعلم العميق. أقيمت هذه الدورة التدريبية العملية في الفترة من 27 يناير 2025 إلى 30 يناير 2025، وقدمت تغطية شاملة للمفاهيم الأساسية في مجال التعلم العميق.

تم تصميم هذه الورشة المتخصصة خصيصًا لطلاب وأعضاء الهيئة التدريس والهيئة المعاونة، لتوفر لهم فرصة لتعزيز معارفهم ومهاراتهم في المجال المتطور بسرعة لتقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي (AI).

تهدف ورشة أساسيات التعلم العميق إلى تزويد المشاركين برؤى تقنية عميقة حول الذكاء الاصطناعي والحوسبة المتسارعة. تقدم شركة NVIDIA، الرائدة عالميًا في تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي، تدريبًا متقدمًا للمطورين وعلماء البيانات ومتخصصون العلوم التقنية والباحثين الذين يسعون لمواجهة تحديات معقدة باستخدام منهجيات الذكاء الاصطناعي المتقدمة.

زيارة هيئة الاعتماد الدولي AHPGS لكلية طب الفم والأسنان

في إطار التزامها المستمر بالتطوير والسعي نحو الاعتماد الدولي، يسر كلية طب الفم والأسنان بجامعة مصر الدولية أن تستضيف وفدًا من وكالة الاعتماد الدولية في العلوم الصحية والاجتماعية (AHPGS)، وهي هيئة اعتماد أوروبية مقرها ألمانيا.

ستقوم الهيئة بزيارة تستغرق يومين، من يوم الاثنين 10 فبراير 2025 حتى يوم الثلاثاء 11 فبراير 2025، لتقييم العملية التعليمية ومعايير الجودة بالكلية.

تعكس هذه الزيارة التزام الكلية بتحقيق التميز في تعليم طب الأسنان وضمان تخرج طلابها وفقًا للمعايير الدولية.

نظم مركز ضمان الجودة بالجامعة دورتين تدريبيتين بعنوان ” التعريف بمعايير الاعتماد المؤسسي إصدار 2015 (المعدل) ” و ” التعريف بمعايير الاعتماد البرامجي إصدار 2022 (المعدل) ” خلال يومي الإثنين الموافق 27/1/2025 والثلاثاء الموافق 28/1/2025.

قام بالتدريب أ.د/ علياء محمد كمال مستشار مركز ضمان الجودة بالجامعة، وذلك بمشاركة نخبة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والهيئة المعاونة والإداريين بالجامعة.

تأتي هذه الدورات التدريبية استكمالاً لسلسلة الدورات التي ينظمها مركز ضمان الجودة بالجامعة، وذلك تحقيقًا لأهداف المركز الاستراتيجية من خلال زيادة الدعم والتوعية المستمرة بالاعتماد وتجديد الاعتماد لجميع المؤسسات والبرامج بالجامعة.

Faculty of Computer Science – Technical Documentation Workshop

The Graduation Projects Committee of the Faculty of Computer Science hosted a Technical Documentation Workshop on January 26, 2025, designed for students working on their graduation projects.

The session was led by Dr. Nisreen Elsaber and Eng. Nada Ayman Shorim, members of the Software Engineering Department. They provided in-depth guidance on the essential elements of technical documentation, including the expectations, standards, and resources necessary to ensure the success of each project.

A key focus of the workshop was the significance of technical documentation in graduation projects. Students were introduced to the Software Requirements Specification (SRS) and Software Design Document (SDD), both critical components that outline the project’s requirements and design architecture.

كلية المعلومات والحاسبات – ورشة عمل حول كتابة الوثائق التقنية

نظمت لجنة مشروعات التخرج بكلية المعلومات والحاسبات ورشة عمل حول كتابة الوثائق التقنية يوم 26 يناير 2025، واستهدفت هذه الورشة الطلاب المشاركين في مشروعات تخرجهم.

أدار الجلسة كل من الدكتورة نسرين الصابر والمهندسة ندى أيمن شريم، وهما من أعضاء قسم هندسة البرمجيات. وقد قدّموا إرشادات مفصلة حول العناصر الأساسية لكتابة الوثائق التقنية بما في ذلك التوقعات والمعايير والموارد اللازمة لضمان نجاح كل مشروع.

ركزت الورشة بشكل رئيسي على أهمية الوثائق التقنية في مشروعات التخرج. وتعرف الطلاب على مواصفات متطلبات البرمجيات (SRS) ووثيقة تصميم البرمجيات (SDD)، وهما عنصران أساسيان يحددان متطلبات المشروع وهيكلية التصميم.

A Visit to Dar Misr for Environment Protection

The Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine organized a field visit to Dar Misr for Environment Protection on Thursday, January 16, 2025. The visit aimed to raise awareness about oral and dental health and offer free dental check-ups for students and supervisors at the center.

The visit was attended by the Vice-Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, the Director of the Internship Program, a faculty member from the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Public Health, two supervisors from the internship administration, and eighteen dental interns.

During the visit, the interns conducted educational sessions for 30 children and their supervisors on maintaining good oral hygiene. Through engaging visual aids and hands-on demonstrations, they covered proper brushing techniques, the importance of daily dental care, and preventive measures against common oral health issues. A total of 36 dental hygiene kits, including toothbrushes and toothpaste, were distributed to the children and supervisors. Additionally, they were invited to receive free dental examinations and treatments across all specialties at the university’s dental clinics.

To evaluate the success of the visit, questionnaires were distributed to the supervisors, yielding highly positive feedback with a 100% satisfaction rate. A separate questionnaire was also provided to the interns and faculty members who participated, with an equally high satisfaction rate of 100%.

فعاليات الزيارة الميدانية لدار مصر لحماية الأسرة والبيئة

نظّمت لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بكلية طب الفم والأسنان زيارة ميدانية إلى دار مصر لحماية الأسرة والبيئة يوم الخميس الموافق 16 يناير 2025، وذلك بهدف التوعية بصحة الفم والأسنان وتقديم الكشف المجاني للطلاب والمشرفين في الدار.

شارك في الزيارة السيد وكيل الكلية لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، ومدير إدارة تدريب أطباء الامتياز، وعضو هيئة تدريس من قسم طب أسنان الأطفال والصحة العامة، بالإضافة إلى اثنين من مشرفي إدارة الامتياز وثمانية عشر من أطباء وطبيبات الامتياز.

خلال الزيارة، قدّم أطباء الامتياز جلسات توعوية تفاعلية لـ 30 طالبًا من الدار والمشرفين، حيث تم تقديم عروض بصرية وتوضيحية حول الطرق الصحيحة لتنظيف الأسنان وأهمية العناية اليومية بها وسبل الوقاية من الأمراض الشائعة. كما تم توزيع 36 فرشاة ومعجون أسنان على الأطفال والمشرفين، ودعوتهم لإجراء فحوصات وعلاج مجاني في جميع تخصصات طب الأسنان بمجمع العيادات التابع للجامعة.

وفي نهاية الزيارة، تم توزيع استبيانات على المشرفين لتقييم البرنامج المقدم واحتياجاتهم الصحية، وقد أظهرت النتائج رضاهم التام بنسبة 100%. كما تم توزيع استبيان آخر على الأطباء والمشاركين في الزيارة لقياس مدى رضاهم، وبلغت نسبة الرضا 100%.
