Two Computer Science Faculty Members Earn a Spot among the Top 2% Most Influential Scientists in the World

The Faculty of Computer Science at MIU is proud to announce that two of its distinguished faculty members, Prof. Eslam Amer and Prof. Diaa Salama, have both achieved remarkable recognition in the 2025 Stanford University Ranking, USA. Prof. Eslam Amer has earned this honor for the third time, while Prof. Diaa Salama has received it for the fifth time, placing them among the top 2% of the most widely cited scientists worldwide.

The Stanford Ranking includes over 160,000 researchers selected from more than 8 million active academics globally, spanning 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields. The list is based on Scopus data provided by Elsevier. Evaluation is conducted using a composite indicator known as the c-score, which considers several metrics, including total citations, the h-index, and field-normalized citation impact. The c-score offers a more comprehensive measure of scientific influence than conventional metrics alone.

This is a remarkable achievement for Prof. Eslam Amer and Prof. Diaa Salama and a testament to their outstanding research contributions and the high caliber of work being carried out at the Faculty of Computer Science, MIU. عضوان من كلية المعلومات والحاسبات بجامعة مصر الدولية ضمن أعلى 2% من العلماء الأكثر تأثيرًا في العالم

تفخر كلية المعلومات والحاسبات بجامعة مصر الدولية (MIU) بالإعلان عن إنجاز علمي جديد، حيث تم إدراج اثنين من أعضاء هيئة التدريس المتميزين بالكلية، الأستاذ الدكتور إسلام عامر والأستاذ الدكتور ضياء سلامة، ضمن قائمة جامعة ستانفورد الأمريكية لعام 2025 التي تضم أكثر العلماء تأثيرًا على مستوى العالم.

وقد حصل الأستاذ الدكتور إسلام عامر على هذا التكريم للمرة الثالثة، بينما نال الأستاذ الدكتور ضياء سلامة هذا الشرف للمرة الخامسة، ليُدرجا بذلك ضمن أعلى 2% من العلماء الأكثر استشهادًا بأبحاثهم عالميًا.

تضم قائمة جامعة ستانفورد أكثر من 160,000 باحث من بين أكثر من 8 ملايين أكاديمي نشط حول العالم، وتشمل 22 مجالًا علميًا و174 تخصصًا فرعيًا. وتعتمد القائمة على بيانات Scopus المقدمة من Elsevier، حيث يُبنى التصنيف على مؤشر تركيبي يُعرف باسم c-score، يأخذ في الاعتبار عدة عوامل من بينها عدد الاستشهادات بالأبحاث، ومؤشر h-index، وتأثير الاستشهادات المعدّل بحسب المجال العلمي. ويُعد مؤشر c-score مقياسًا أكثر شمولًا لتأثير الباحث العلمي مقارنة بالمؤشرات التقليدية مثل إجمالي عدد الاستشهادات.

ويُعد هذا الإنجاز اعترافًا مستحقًا بجهود كل من الأستاذ الدكتور إسلام عامر والأستاذ الدكتور ضياء سلامة، وتأكيدًا على جودة وتميّز البحث العلمي الذي تُقدمه كلية المعلومات والحاسبات بجامعة مصر الدولية. تتقدّم الجامعة بخالص التهاني لهما على هذا الإنجاز المرموق والمستحق بكل جدارة.
