MIU Announces the First-of-Its-Kind Conference to Debate the Turmoil of Postgraduate Studies in the Media Field
18 Apr 2017Cairo, Egypt – Under the auspices of the Minister of the Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Universities, Dr. Khaled Abd El Ghaffar, Misr International University is collaborating with the Supreme Council’s Committee of Planning and Media Studies Sector Committee to organize a conference on April 23rd, 2017 at MIU premises to tackle the postgraduate studies in the mass media field in Egypt in three sessions.
The conference will discuss the new criteria of the postgraduate studies and research, as well as set up rules for the higher educational institutions that grant Master and PhD degrees to confirm the availability of the necessary factors that ensure the presented research quality.
All the faculty members, deans and representatives of the public and private universities in Egypt were invited to attend the conference and give their opinions about the tackled issue, so the Supreme Council can map out the new criteria and requirements of the upcoming phase and take a final decision in that matter.
The University Vice President, the Faculty of Al-Alsun & Mass Communication Dean and Committee Member, Professor Hamdy Hassan affirmed that the conference will pinpoint specific criteria and standards for the institutions that grant the postgraduate degrees, as well as degree applicants. Moreover, the university invited over 240 mass communication faculty members and deans from various public and private universities in Egypt to attend the conference.
