Coping with visual impairment is a challenge! Support for students with visual impairments contributes to their academic learning and enhances their self-esteem and social acceptance. The Faculty of Al Alsun and Mass Communication organized a visit to the Model Center for the Care of the Blind in Al-Zaytoun district on July 14, 2021 to honour visually impaired students for their academic achievement.
Professor Hanan Kilani, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Development, along with Dr. Ingy Emara, Associate Professor of Linguistics, and Teaching Assistant Nehal Walid celebrated the success of outstanding students at the Center, offering them talking calculators and blind sticks. They also provided CDs including taped units of the social studies, Arabic and English curricula, mp3 recorders, in addition to 20 braille paper reams.
