Strengthening International Collaboration in Pharmacy Education
25 Jul 2026The Faculty of Pharmacy, Misr International University (MIU) was honored to welcome Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Shorbagy, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University (UAE), on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, as part of the ongoing strategic collaboration between our two institutions.
The visit commenced with an executive meeting, followed by a strategic collaboration meeting that brought together the Faculty’s executive leadership and academic staff. The discussions reinforced our shared commitment to advancing pharmacy education and identified new opportunities for collaboration in student and faculty exchange, collaborative research, the Prescribing Skills Assessment (PSA) Consortium, Interprofessional Education (IPE), Continuing Professional Education (CPE), curriculum development, accreditation, quality assurance, and the Visiting Professor Initiative.
The visit concluded with an engaging Faculty Development Session entitled “From Scholar to Creator: Achieving Digital Self-Sufficiency by Empowering Academicians Through Vibe Coding.” During the session, Prof. Al-Shorbagy explored how artificial intelligence is transforming higher education and demonstrated how academicians can leverage AI to develop innovative, practical solutions that enhance teaching, assessment, research, and academic practice while promoting responsible and effective AI adoption.

We also thank all faculty members who participated in this enriching day of collaboration, knowledge exchange, and professional development.
