Senior Alsun Students Explore Egypt’s Heritage at CULTNAT

On Wednesday, April 24th, Al-Alsun senior students went on a memorable trip to the Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage (CULTNAT). The aim of the trip was two-fold: to deepen students’ appreciation of language by exploring its power in narrating history and to get introduced to the latest digital technologies employed by CULTNAT in its mission to document Egypt’s rich historical and natural treasures.

The students were welcomed by CULTNAT staff and given a comprehensive tour of the Center’s facilities. The tour included an immersive experience that transported them through time with a 360-degree panorama showcasing Egypt’s history. The students also explored the Micro Gallery, where they had the chance to interact with information through augmented reality technology. The innovative approach followed by CULTNAT fostered a stimulating and informative environment, making the trip both educational and engaging.

The students were tasked with collecting terminology related to Egyptian history to be used in translation passages. They were also instructed to focus on historical figures and landmarks as the focal themes for their literary assignments.

طلاب الألسن في زيارة لمركز توثيق التراث الحضاري والطبيعي

قام طلاب السنة النهائية في كلية الألسن في يوم الأربعاء الموافق 24 أبريل، بزيارة لمركز توثيق التراث الحضاري والطبيعي بهدف تنمية تقدير الطلاب للغة باعتبارها أداة فعالة في رواية التاريخ والتعرف على أحدث التقنيات الرقمية التي يستخدمها المركز في توثيق كنوز مصر التاريخية والطبيعية.

خلال الزيارة، قام الطلاب بجولة تعريفية في أرجاء المركز المختلفة، اطلعوا خلالها على معروضات قيمة تسلط الضوء على تاريخ مصر الحضاري والطبيعي. وشملت الجولة عرض بانوراما التراث، وهو عرض تفاعلي يقدم رحلة عبر الزمن لاستكشاف تاريخ مصر عبر العصور المختلفة. كما زار الطلاب قاعة الميكرو جاليري، حيث تمكنوا من التفاعل مع المعلومات باستخدام تقنية الواقع المعزز. وقد أدى النهج المبتكر الذي اتبعه المركز إلى خلق بيئة محفزة وغنية بالمعلومات، مما جعل الرحلة تعليمية وممتعة في نفس الوقت.

تم تكليف الطلاب بجمع مصطلحات تتعلق بالتاريخ المصري لاستخدامها في الترجمة. كما ركزوا على الشخصيات والمعالم التاريخية لتكون محور تكليفات في مقررات الأدب.
