Rehabilitation of Souk El Selah : Students projects jury at MIU

Architecture department was honored to hold the Design Course jury of 3rd year students (Design 3B) in the presence of Dr Ghada Farouk (Head of the Department of Urban Design and Planning, Ain Shams University), Dr Omnia Abd Elbarr, (architect specialized in Islamic art and architecture at Victoria and Albert Museum, UK), Dr. Ehab Oqba (Professor of architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Fayoum University) and Dr. Ahmed El Husseiny (lecturer at Cambridge and Cairo Universities) as external examiners.

After a long semester full of field work and site visits to Heritage Cairo, 3rd year architecture students presented their Regeneration of Souq Selah Heritage projects with confidence and passion to their external and internal examiners on June 9, 2022.

Spring 2022 Design 3B course ran under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Abdelaziz (Professor at Misr International University), Dr. Mohamed El Fayoumi (Professor of Urban Design, Ain Shams University), Dr. Mougib Elrahman Amer (Lecturer at Misr International University), and Arch. Ahmed Tobgy (Architect and specialist in restoration).
