Faculty of Pharmacy Organizes White Coat Ceremony and Parade for Senior Students

On Thursday, May 24, the Media and Website Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy, in collaboration with Eva Pharma for Pharmaceutical Industries and the help of 17 senior students, organized the second annual White Coat Ceremony. The ceremony is a highly anticipated tradition, symbolizing the transition of senior students from classroom learning to the professional practice of pharmacy. Although relatively new in academic circles, the White Coat Ceremony is now a significant event in educational institutions worldwide.

The ceremony was attended by the University Vice-President for Academic and Student Affairs, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Vice-Deans, Department Heads, and Faculty Members who took part in the “robing ceremony”, helping students into their new coats.
Distinguished guest speakers in the ceremony were Dr. Ayman Alkhateeb, Vice President of the Egyptian Drug Authority, and Dr. Samer Alrefai, President of the Arab Association of Pharmacy Progress (AAPP) and General Secretary of the African Healthcare and Drug Association (AHDA). Both, as well as two alumni, gave speeches emphasizing the importance of professional integrity and ethical practice of pharmacy.

Our best wishes extend to the newly cloaked pharmacy students in their professional pursuits, hoping they uphold the profession’s code of ethics and deliver exemplary patient care.

كلية الصيدلة تقيم حفلاً للمعاطف البيضاء لطلابها

نظمت لجنة الإعلام والموقع الإلكتروني بكلية الصيدلة بالتعاون مع إيفا فارما للصناعات الدوائية وبمساعدة 17 طالبًا من السنة النهائية التقليد السنوي المرتقب والمعروف باسم حفل المعطف الأبيض يوم الخميس الموافق 24 مايو في الحرم الجامعي.

على الرغم من أن حفل المعطف الأبيض جديد نسبيًا في الأوساط الأكاديمية، إلا أنه يعد احتفالًا عالميًا شائعًا في المؤسسات التعليمية. يهدف حفل المعطف الأبيض إلى الاحتفال بدخول الطلاب إلى عامهم الأخير في برنامج الصيدلة وتسليط الضوء على انتقالهم من الفصول الدراسية إلى سوق العمل. الهدف من هذا الحدث هو إظهار التفاني والكفاءة المهنية والالتزام الذي من المفترض أن يتحلى به طلبة الصيدلة.

وحضر الاحتفالية كل من نائب رئيس الجامعة للشؤون الأكاديمية والطلابية، وعميد كلية الصيدلة، ووكلاء الكليات ورؤساء الأقسام وأعضاء هيئة التدريس الذين ساعدوا كل طالب في ارتداء معطفه الجديد على المسرح.

وألقى الدكتور أيمن الخطيب، نائب رئيس الهيئة العامة للدواء المصرية، والدكتور سامر الرفاعي، رئيس الجمعية العربية للتقدم الصيدلاني (AAPP) والأمين العام للجمعية الأفريقية للرعاية الصحية والأدوية (AHDA) خطابين ملهمين قدما بهما نصائح لا تقدر بثمن، مؤكدين على أهمية النزاهة المهنية والصدق والرحمة والممارسة الأخلاقية للصيدلة.
