Faculty of Pharmacy Celebrates the Annual Computer-aided Drug Discovery Poster Day

On May 28, 2024, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Misr International University hosted its annual Drug Discovery Poster Day, showcasing the remarkable achievements of its students in computer-aided drug design, under the supervision of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department.

Throughout the semester, fourth year pharmacy students were divided into teams, each undertaking a unique drug discovery project. These teams applied their knowledge of computational chemistry and pharmacology to identify potential new drug candidates.

On the event day, 70 projects were presented as research posters, covering topics such as drug repurposing, virtual screening, and 3DQSAR modeling. These presentations highlighted the innovative research being conducted by the next generation of pharmaceutical scientists.

The event was a resounding success, demonstrating the impressive capabilities of pharmacy students and the university’s commitment to advancing the field of drug discovery.

نظمت كلية الصيدلة يوم ملصق اكتشاف الأدوية السنوي

في 28 مايو 2024 نظمت كلية الصيدلة بجامعة مصر الدولية يوم ملصق اكتشاف الأدوية السنوي حيث عرض الطلاب إنجازاتهم في تصميم الأدوية بمساعدة الكمبيوتر.

طوال فصل ربيع 2024 تم تقسيم طلاب الفرقة الرابعة من كلية الصيدلة إلى مجموعات واستخدم الطلاب معرفتهم بالكيمياء الحسابية وعلم الأدوية لتحديد الأدوية الجديدة المحتملة.

في يوم الحدث تم تقديم 70 مشروعًا كملصقات بحثية تغطي مواضيع مثل إعادة استخدام الأدوية والفحص الافتراضي والنمذجة 3DQSAR

وقد حقق الحدث نجاحاً باهراً حيث أظهر قدرات طلاب الصيدلة والتزام الجامعة بالتقدم في مجال اكتشاف الأدوية.
