22 Nov 2023In a significant stride toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), the Faculty of Pharmacy took the lead in hosting an informative and engaging seminar titled “Preventing Antimicrobial Resistance Together”. The event, held on Monday 13/11/2023, was attended by around 130 students.
The seminar featured esteemed members of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) who shared valuable insights into the critical issue of antimicrobial resistance and its prevention. Under the slogan of “خليك واعي … بلاش مضاد حيوي من غير داعي”, the session aimed to emphasize the importance of responsible antibiotic use.

Antimicrobial resistance poses a significant threat to global health, requiring collaborative efforts for effective mitigation. The seminar included presentations and discussions by the EDA experts, shedding light on the different aspects of antimicrobial resistance and the role each individual can play in its prevention.
