Pharmacy Students Participate in the Heart Failure Awareness Campaign ‘Global Cardiology’

Under the guidance of MIU’s Community Service Committee, Pharmacy students recently participated in the heart failure awareness campaign “Global Cardiology”, organized by the European Society of Cardiology. This year’s campaign, held under the supervision of Egyptian Society of Cardiology, adopted the theme “Discover the Undiscovered: Find Me.”

The campaign aimed to educate patients about the symptoms of heart failure and the importance of maintaining a healthy heart by identifying both known and unknown symptoms and diseases. Twenty-three fourth and fifth-year pharmacy students participated in the initiative. They designed informative posters for patients and created simulation videos to demonstrate effective methods of raising awareness.

Throughout the campaign, which ran from April 18^th to May 8^th, 2024, students actively engaged with patients at Kasr Al-Ainy Hospital (Cairo University), Al-Nas Hospital, and the National Heart Institute.

طلاب كلية الصيدلة يشاركون في حملة “القلب العالمي” للتوعية بمخاطر قصور القلب

تحت إشراف لجنة الخدمة المجتمعية بجامعة مصر الدولية، شارك طلاب كلية الصيدلة مؤخرًا في حملة “القلب العالمي” للتوعية بمخاطر قصور القلب، التي تنظمها الجمعية الأوروبية لأمراض القلب. كان شعار الحملة هذا العام “اكتشف غير المكتشف: اعثر عليّ” وتم تنظيمها بالتعاون مع الجمعية المصرية لأمراض القلب.
تهدف الحملة إلى تثقيف المرضى بشأن أعراض قصور القلب وأهمية الحفاظ على صحة القلب من خلال تحديد الأعراض والأمراض المعروفة وغير المعروفة. شارك في المبادرة ثلاثة وعشرون طالبًا وطالبة من الفرقتين الرابعة والخامسة بكلية الصيدلة، حيث قاموا بتصميم ملصقات علمية للمرضى وإنشاء مقاطع فيديو تساعد على رفع مستوى الوعي.
استمرت الحملة من يوم الخميس الموافق 18 أبريل حتى يوم الأربعاء الموافق 8 مايو وشملت مرضى من مستشفى القصر العيني – جامعة القاهرة، ومستشفى الناس والمعهد القومي للقلب.
