MIU Student Showcases Innovative Cybersecurity Project at Black Hat MEA 2025

In a remarkable student achievement, Jana Sherif, a student at the Faculty of Computer Science, Misr International University (MIU), participated in Black Hat MEA 2025 on 2nd of December, 2025 through the We Innovative Initiative Pavilion, one of the region’s leading cybersecurity events.

Together with her teammate Jana Baraka, Jana Sherif presented their innovative platform Polaris GRC, an AI-powered solution designed to help banks and FinTech companies become audit-ready and effectively close compliance gaps through a human-centric and market-unique approach.

The project was showcased among major cybersecurity companies and industry experts across the region, highlighting the strong technical and entrepreneurial capabilities of MIU students. The team’s journey began with winning first place in a hackathon, followed by participation in GITEX, and has now reached Black Hat MEA 2025. The team is currently seeking pilot testers for the first release of their product.

طالبة من كلية المعلومات والحاسبات بجامعة مصر الدولية تعرض مشروعًا مبتكرًا في Black Hat MEA 2025

في إنجاز طلابي مشرف، شاركت الطالبة جنى شريف يوم 2 ديسمبر 2025، الطالبة بكلية المعلومات والحاسبات بجامعة مصر الدولية، في فعاليات Black Hat MEA 2025 من خلال جناح مبادرة We Innovative، وذلك ضمن أحد أكبر الفعاليات المتخصصة في مجال الأمن السيبراني على مستوى المنطقة.

وقدمت الطالبتان جنى شريف وجنى بركة مشروعهما المتميز Polaris GRC، وهو منصة مبتكرة تعتمد على تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي، وتهدف إلى مساعدة البنوك وشركات FinTech على تحقيق الجاهزية لعمليات المراجعة (Audit Readiness) وسد فجوات الامتثال (Compliance) بأسلوب Human-Centric وفريد في السوق.

وجاء عرض المشروع وسط كبرى شركات وخبراء الأمن السيبراني في المنطقة، ما يعكس قدرة طلاب الكلية على المنافسة والتميز في المحافل التكنولوجية الكبرى. وبدأت رحلة المشروع من الفوز بالمركز الأول في هاكاثون تقني، ثم المشاركة في معرض جيتكس، وصولًا إلى المشاركة في Black Hat MEA 2025، حيث يعمل الفريق حاليًا على البحث عن Pilot Testers لإطلاق النسخة الأولى من المنتج.

وتعرب كلية المعلومات والحاسبات بجامعة مصر الدولية عن فخرها بهذا الإنجاز، مؤكدةً دعمها المستمر لطلابها المبدعين وتشجيعهم على الابتكار وريادة الأعمال والمشاركة الفعالة في الفعاليات التكنولوجية الإقليمية والدولية.
