MIU Staff and Students Visit Ismailia and Suez Canal Authority
3 Dec 2018On November 21, 2018, the Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and the General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone, H.E. Admiral Mohab Mamish, welcomed a delegation from Misr International University staff and students at Ismailia’s Maritime Training and Simulation Center, to learn more about the new Suez Canal and the Canal Development Project.
General Mamish stressed that the Egyptian government is keen on developing the capabilities of young people to make the best use of the human resources.
Chairman of the Authority pointed out that the statistics of navigation in the Suez Canal indicate a big boom in the number and loads of ships. He added that this new canal is the infrastructure for Suez Canal National Development Project and will turn it into a logistic and industrial hub.
The delegation attended a presentation on the new Suez Canal and Suez Canal National Development Project, shedding light on the investment opportunities. They also watched a series of documentaries that tell the history of the ancient Suez Canal. The visit included a cruise in the New Suez Canal, and a tour in Ismailia tunnels and Suez Canal Club.
