30 Mar 2024For the third time in a row, Misr International University (MIU) is listed in the Spanish Simago Ranking which is an international body for classifying academic and research institutions. Ranking is based on collecting and evaluating the activities of the institution featured on the internet in relation to three main criteria: research performance, innovation, and societal impact. The ranking results for each criterion are shown and then an overall ranking for the university is calculated.
As for the general ranking of universities, MIU ranked 1484 out of 4762 universities globally, and came in the 7th place among 51 Egyptian universities, 36th place among 338 Arab universities, 17th place among 283 African universities, and finally 69th place among 565 universities from the Middle East.
Universities are divided into ranks according to percentiles. According to this division, the university ranked 32% as a general assessment, 50% in the research performance standard, 15% in the innovation standard and 72% in the societal impact standard. The lower ranks mean a better position.
The university ranked first in innovation among Egyptian universities and ranked second in innovation among universities in the Middle East and Arab countries.
