MIU Holds its 2nd Annual Conference on Sustainable Development

On Monday, May 5, 2025, Misr International University (MIU) hosted its 2nd annual sustainable development conference, “AI for a Sustainable Future: Advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals”. The event focused on AI’s applications across diverse fields like dentistry, medicine, engineering and the humanities and social sciences. Participants emphasized the need to integrate AI into scientific research while addressing ethical considerations, viewing AI as a supportive tool for humans.

The conference brought together prominent researchers and experts from institutions such as Cairo University, Ain Shams University, the Egyptian Drug Authority and the National Research Centre, along with representatives from the World Dental Federation and the Ministry of Higher Education. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with a 93% satisfaction rate. Many suggested extending the conference to two days for greater attendance.

This conference underscores MIU’s commitment to aligning scientific research with societal needs, achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals and supporting Egypt Vision 2030, while also aiming to boost MIU’s international academic standing.

جامعة مصر الدولية تنظم مؤتمرها الثاني حول الذكاء الاصطناعي والتنمية المستدامة

في يوم الاثنين الموافق 5 مايو 2025 نظمت جامعة مصر الدولي مؤتمرها السنوي الثاني للتنمية المستدامة تحت عنوان “الذكاء الاصطناعي من أجل مستقبل مستدام: تعزيز أهداف الأمم المتحدة للتنمية المستدامة”. ركز المؤتمر على تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي في مجالات متنوعة مثل طب الأسنان والطب والهندسة والعلوم الإنسانية والاجتماعية. أكد المشاركون على ضرورة دمج الذكاء الاصطناعي في البحث العلمي معتبرين الذكاء الاصطناعي أداة داعمة للبشر.

جمع المؤتمر باحثين وخبراء بارزين من مؤسسات مثل جامعة القاهرة وجامعة عين شمس وهيئة الدواء المصرية والمركز القومي للبحوث بالإضافة إلى ممثلين من الاتحاد العالمي لطب الأسنان ووزارة التعليم العالي. كانت ردود الفعل إيجابية للغاية حيث بلغت نسبة الرضا 93%. اقترح العديد من المشاركين تمديد المؤتمر إلى يومين لزيادة الحضور.

يؤكد هذا المؤتمر على التزام جامعة مصر الدولية بتوجيه البحث العلمي لخدمة قضايا المجتمع وتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة ورؤية مصر 2030 وتعزيز مكانتها في التصنيفات الدولية.
