MIU Faculty of Computer Science Participates in Judging the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)

The Faculty of Computer Science at Misr International University (MIU) participated in judging the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) held at El-Saidiya Military School in Giza, upon an invitation from Ms. Samah Mohamed, the Governorate ISEF Coordinator.
ISEF is the largest pre-university science competition worldwide, aiming to promote scientific research among preparatory and secondary school students. This year’s local competition in Giza included 70 projects from STEM schools, schools for outstanding students, and applied technology schools, from which 25 projects were selected to advance to the national level and qualify for international participation.
MIU was represented on the judging panel by Assoc. Prof. Nesreen El-Saber (Software Engineering Department) and Dr. Mohamed El-Husseiny (Computer Science Department).
Students presented innovative projects in technology, medical applications, environmental sustainability, space science, and artificial intelligence, using hardware prototypes and software solutions. The Faculty’s participation reflects MIU’s ongoing commitment to supporting scientific excellence and innovation among future generations.

شاركت كلية المعلومات والحاسبات بجامعة مصر الدولية في أعمال تحكيم مسابقة المعرض الدولي للعلوم والهندسة (ISEF)، والتي أُقيمت بالمدرسة السعيدية العسكرية بمحافظة الجيزة، وذلك بدعوة كريمة من السيدة الأستاذة/ سماح محمد، منسق المسابقة بالمحافظة.
وتُعد مسابقة ISEF أكبر مسابقة علمية لمرحلة ما قبل التعليم الجامعي على مستوى العالم، وتهدف إلى نشر ثقافة البحث العلمي بين طلاب المرحلتين الإعدادية والثانوية. وقد شهدت المنافسات المحلية هذا العام مشاركة 70 مشروعًا من مدارس المتفوقين وSTEM والمدارس التطبيقية، تم اختيار 25 مشروعًا منها للتصعيد على المستوى القومي والتأهل للمشاركة الدولية.
وشارك في التحكيم عن الكلية كل من أ.م.د. نسرين الصابر بقسم هندسة البرمجيات ود. محمد الحسيني بقسم علوم الحاسب.
وعرض الطلاب مشروعات مبتكرة في مجالات التكنولوجيا، والتطبيقات الطبية، والاستدامة البيئية، وعلوم الفضاء، والذكاء الاصطناعي، باستخدام نماذج عملية وتطبيقات برمجية متنوعة. وتأتي هذه المشاركة في إطار حرص الكلية على دعم الابتكار العلمي والمساهمة في إعداد جيل متميز قادر على المنافسة محليًا ودوليًا.
