MIU Faculty of Computer Science Explores Collaboration with IBM under CSR Initiatives

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with leading global companies, the Faculty of Computer Science at Misr International University (MIU) held an engagement session with IBM on December 3, 2025, to explore partnership opportunities within the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. This collaboration aims to enhance students’ skills, employability, and industry exposure.

The session was attended by Dr. Ayman Nabil, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Taraggy Ghanim, Head of the Computer Science Department; and Eng. Mostafa Kamal, Assistant Lecturer, reflecting the Faculty’s commitment to reinforcing industry–academia collaboration.

During the meeting, IBM representatives highlighted key areas of cooperation, including IBM SkillsBuild Academia free training courses, access to IBM software tools, collaboration on hackathons and technical competitions, expert-led webinars, and support for career fairs and employment opportunities through IBM’s global career platform.

The Faculty emphasized the importance of integrating real-world industry experience into the academic environment and affirmed its intention to expand collaboration with IBM to support innovation and prepare students for the evolving job market.

في إطار سعيها المستمر لتعزيز التعاون مع كبرى الشركات العالمية، عقدت كلية المعلومات والحاسبات بجامعة مصر الدولية (MIU) يوم 3 ديسمبر2025 جلسة تعاون مع شركة IBM لبحث فرص الشراكة ضمن مبادرات المسؤولية المجتمعية (CSR)، وذلك بهدف تنمية مهارات الطلاب، وزيادة فرص توظيفهم، وتعزيز ارتباطهم بسوق العمل.

وشهدت الجلسة حضور الدكتور أيمن نبيل، عميد الكلية، والدكتورة ترجي غانم، رئيسة قسم علوم الحاسب، والمهندس مصطفى كمال، مدرس مساعد، بما يعكس حرص الكلية على توطيد الشراكة بين القطاع الأكاديمي والصناعي.

وخلال اللقاء، استعرض ممثلو شركة IBM مجالات التعاون المقترحة، والتي شملت برامج التدريب المجانية عبر IBM SkillsBuild Academia، وإتاحة الأدوات والبرمجيات الخاصة بشركة IBM، والتعاون في الهاكاثونات والمسابقات التقنية، وتنظيم ندوات وورش عمل يقدمها خبراء متخصصون، إلى جانب دعم الملتقيات الوظيفية وفرص التوظيف من خلال منصة IBM العالمية للتوظيف.

وأكدت الكلية أهمية دمج الخبرات العملية الواقعية داخل البيئة الأكاديمية، معربةً عن تطلعها إلى توسيع آفاق التعاون مع شركة IBM لدعم الابتكار وتأهيل الطلاب لمتطلبات سوق العمل المتغيرة.
