MIU Convoy Visits Karamous Village in Sharkia Governorate

The MIU Faculty of Business Administration participated in a convoy to the village of Karamous in Sharkia Governorate on May 21, 2024.

The visit began with a tour of papyrus manufacturing workshops, showcasing the process from seeds to finished product. Participants then visited the fields where papyrus is grown.

Following the tour, sixteen papyrus workshop owners and workers attended a training session presented by Dr. Maha Fikry, Assistant Professor of Marketing, along with three student volunteers. The session focused on marketing principles, highlighting how to market papyrus effectively and increase sales and emphasizing the workshops’ unique competitive advantage of being the only producers of papyrus in the world.

A post-session satisfaction survey revealed that over 90% of participants were satisfied with the workshop.

اشتركت كلية إدارة الأعمال في قافلة الجامعة لزيارة قرية قراموص بمحافظة الشرقية في 21 مايو.

بدأت الزيارة بجولة في ورش التصنيع لمشاهدة مراحل التصنيع من البذرة إلى الورق البردي ثم زيارة الحقول التي تتم زراعة نبات البردي فيها. وبعد ذلك ألقت د. مها فكري، مدرس التسويق بالكلية، بالاشتراك مع ثلاثة طلاب من الكلية ورشة عمل عن مبادئ التسويق مع تسليط الضوء على كيفية تسويق ورق البردي وزيادة المبيعات مع التأكيد على استغلال الميزة التنافسية لهذه الورش وهي أنها المكان الوحيد الذي يزرع نبات البردي على مستوى العالم. وقد شارك في الورشة ١٦ فردًا من أصحاب الورش والعاملين بها.
