MIU Continues to Appear in The Webometrics Rankings for The Fourth Consecutive Year

The July 2025 edition of the Ranking Web of Universities (Webometrics) was released. The university came in 4166th place globally, 206th in Africa and 41st locally. Webometrics is one of the most significant rankings that assess universities based on the impact and openness of the university’s website, the number of researchers cited in the Google Scholar database and the number of papers listed in the top 10% citation in the Scimago database during the previous five years. Compared to 2024 ranking results, MIU’s ranking in Openness increased by nearly one hundred places, and the Excellence rank didn’t change, while the Impact rank decreased.
