MCQ Design Workshop

Within the framework of the effort to apply the latest academic approaches, the Training Sector of Community Services and Environmental Affairs and the Student Affairs’ Committee at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine organized a workshop entitled “MCQ items Design”, in cooperation with the Medical School of Armed Forces.
The workshop was held on Wednesday 6th – Thursday 7th of November 2019, and given by Professor Omayma A.E. Hamed, Professor of Medical Education at the Medical School of Armed Forces. The attendees were staff members from MIU Faculties of Oral and Dental Medicine and Pharmacy.
The main objective of the workshop was to identify and apply the design of multiple choice questions considering the student’s ability and the time factor. Group activities were given to the participants for practical application of designing such questions.
The instructor was granted a certificate of appreciation from the Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine expressing gratitude and appreciation. The attendees asked for more workshops in the near future.
