From Nature to Architecture: Students’ Projects Jury at MIU

Architecture department was honored to hold the jury For Environmental Building Technology course. “From Nature to Architecture” for students’ projects on June 28, 2022, with the delightful presence of Prof. Dr. Somaya Bahey El Deen (Professor of Architecture, General Manager at CUBE Consultants and President consultant for community development) and Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Aziz (Professor of architecture at Misr International University) as external examiners.
First project “Dynamic Structure” is inspired in Form, Function and Structure from living Creatures, which developed the students’ ability to select an example from real life to apply this knowledge. Second project was a selected real life example, where the students proposed “Renovative Interventions on Egypt’s Iconic Tower” in the New Administrative Capital applying all the know-how they built on.
Spring 2022 Environmental Building Technology course ran under the supervision of Prof. Dr Ossama Abdou (Professor of Architecture at Misr International University) , Dr. Fahd Abou El Azm (Lecturer, architect and COO at IEC consultants) and Arch. Mirna Philip (Assistant lecturer at Misr International University)
