12 Jan 2020Faculty of Computer Science was pleased to host a seminar titled “Finance for non-financial Professionals” on Wednesday, November 20th 2019 from 3:00 PM till 4:30 PM in room RC2 for MIU Computer Science students. The seminar was held by Dr. Mina Kamal (Co-Founder at Elite Financial Consultancy House and Assistant Professor of Finance at Misr International University)
Dr. Mina received his Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from Salford University in the UK and then received his PhD from Coventry University in the field of finance and corporate governance. He has several research papers published in world class scientific journals. His research interests include the Agency problem, stock market efficiency, securitization and money laundering. He also teaches undergraduate and postgraduate modules at several universities, Dr. Mina is interested in practical training and financial and professional consultations in the areas of valuation, feasibility studies, financial restructuring, direct investment, and boards of directors for many small and medium sized local and regional companies. He is a certified trainer from European Business School (EBS). He has also received several certificates as trainer of trainers from local and international authorities such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank. He has also participated in many workshops, seminars and conferences related to finance, investment and corporate governance. He also supervises research and scientific competitions for stock Valuation and investment in several universities.
