Cybersecurity in Our Daily Lives: Awareness Seminar at the Faculty of Computer Science

The Faculty of Computer Science at Misr International University (MIU) organized an informative cybersecurity awareness talk on 4 February 2026, delivered by Dr. Hazem Eltabaa, Chief Expert at EG-CERT, which operates under the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA).

The session, titled “Cybersecurity in Everyday Life: Risks, Incidents, and Protection,” aimed to raise cybersecurity awareness and enhance digital skills. It covered cybersecurity fundamentals, key standards, prominent real-world cyber incidents at both local and global levels, essential protection methods, and best practices for safe technology use in daily life.

The talk targeted academic staff, teaching assistants, and department heads from all faculties at MIU, emphasizing the importance of strengthening cybersecurity awareness and highlighting the vital role of academic institutions in promoting safe digital practices within Egyptian universities.

This session was held as part of the implementation of Egypt’s National Cybersecurity Strategy (2023–2027), supporting national efforts to enhance digital readiness, increase awareness of cyber risks, and foster a more secure and sustainable digital environment within educational institutions.

الأمن السيبراني في حياتنا اليومية: ندوة توعوية بكلية المعلومات والحاسبات – جامعة مصر الدولية

نظّمت كلية المعلومات والحاسبات بـ جامعة مصر الدولية (MIU) يوم 4 فبراير 2026 ندوة توعوية حول الأمن السيبراني، قدّمها د. حازم الطبا، كبير الخبراء بـ EG-CERT، التابع لـ الجهاز القومي لتنظيم الاتصالات (NTRA).

وجاءت الندوة تحت عنوان «الأمن السيبراني في حياتنا اليومية: المخاطر، الحوادث، وسبل الحماية»، وهدفت إلى رفع مستوى الوعي بالأمن السيبراني وتنمية المهارات الرقمية. وتناولت أساسيات الأمن السيبراني، وأهم المعايير المعتمدة، إلى جانب استعراض أبرز الحوادث السيبرانية الواقعية على المستويين المحلي والعالمي، ووسائل الحماية الأساسية، وأفضل الممارسات للاستخدام الآمن للتكنولوجيا في الحياة اليومية.

وقد استهدفت الندوة أعضاء هيئة التدريس، والمعيدين، ورؤساء الأقسام من جميع كليات الجامعة، تأكيدًا على أهمية تعزيز الوعي السيبراني، والدور المحوري للمؤسسات الأكاديمية في ترسيخ الممارسات الرقمية الآمنة داخل الجامعات المصرية.

وتأتي هذه الندوة في إطار تنفيذ الاستراتيجية الوطنية للأمن السيبراني (2023–2027)، دعمًا للجهود الوطنية الهادفة إلى تعزيز الجاهزية الرقمية، ورفع مستوى الوعي بالمخاطر السيبرانية، وبناء بيئة رقمية أكثر أمانًا واستدامة داخل المؤسسات التعليمية.
