Faculty of Computer Science Participates in CAISEC 2025 Cybersecurity Conference and Red Hat Summit Connect – Egypt

The Faculty of Computer Science at Misr International University participated in CAISEC 2025, held on May 25–26 at the Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski, Cairo, under the theme “Securing Futures, Bridging Technologies.” The event was organized under the patronage of H.E. Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and supported by H.E. Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

MIU was represented by Dr. Ayman Nabil, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, and Dr. Taraggy Mohiy, Head of the Computer Science Department.

Dr. Ayman Nabil attended the 4th edition of CAISEC, which featured high-level participation from ministers, leading experts, and cybersecurity professionals. Among the highlights of the event was a powerful presentation by Mr. Osama Kamal, Chairman and CEO of Mercury Communications, who addressed the critical cybersecurity challenges facing governments and institutions today. The conference provided an excellent opportunity for MIU to engage with key players across industry and government who are shaping the future of cybersecurity in Egypt and the region.

In parallel with this participation, Dr. Ayman Nabil also took part in the Red Hat Summit Connect – Egypt, joining a distinguished panel discussion titled “The Evolving Role of Banks in Egypt’s Digital Economy.”

The panel included Dr. Muhammad Fathy – Director of Technology Services & IT Operations Management Sector, Banque du Caire; Eng. Karim Moharum – Deputy CIO/CTO, Al Baraka Bank Egypt; and was moderated by Eng. Cherif Ezzat – Strategic Territory Manager, Banking & Government Sector, Red Hat. The session offered valuable insights into how Egypt’s banking sector is not only adapting to digital transformation but leading it by setting new innovation benchmarks.

كلية المعلومات والحاسبات تشارك في مؤتمر CAISEC 2025 للأمن السيبراني وقمة Red Hat Summit Connect – Egypt

شاركت كلية المعلومات والحاسبات بجامعة مصر الدولية في مؤتمر CAISEC 2025، الذي أُقيم يومي 25 و26 مايو في فندق رويال ماكسيم بالاس كمبينسكي بالقاهرة، تحت شعار: “تأمين المستقبل، وجسر التقنيات”، وذلك برعاية دولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء الدكتور مصطفى مدبولي، وبدعم من معالي الدكتور عمرو طلعت، وزير الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات. مثّل الجامعة في المؤتمر كل من الدكتور أيمن نبيل، القائم بأعمال عميد كلية المعلومات والحاسبات، والدكتور ترجي محيي، رئيس قسم علوم الحاسب.

عبّر الدكتور أيمن نبيل عن فخره بالمشاركة في النسخة الرابعة من هذا الحدث المميز، مشيدًا بالمشاركة الواسعة من الوزراء والخبراء والمتخصصين في مجال الأمن السيبراني. وكان من أبرز فعاليات المؤتمر العرض المؤثر الذي قدمه الأستاذ أسامة كمال، رئيس مجلس الإدارة والرئيس التنفيذي لشركة Mercury Communications، حيث استعرض التحديات السيبرانية الكبيرة التي تواجه الحكومات والمؤسسات في الوقت الحالي. وقد أتاح المؤتمر فرصة ممتازة لجامعة مصر الدولية للتواصل مع كبرى الشركات والجهات الحكومية التي تسهم في رسم مستقبل الأمن السيبراني في مصر والمنطقة.

وبالتوازي مع هذه المشاركة، شارك الدكتور أيمن نبيل أيضًا في قمة Red Hat Summit Connect – Egypt، من خلال جلسة نقاشية متميزة بعنوان: “الدور المتطور للبنوك في الاقتصاد الرقمي المصري”. ضمّت الجلسة كل من الدكتور محمد فتحي – مدير قطاع خدمات التكنولوجيا وإدارة عمليات تكنولوجيا المعلومات، بنك القاهرة؛ والمهندس كريم محرم – نائب الرئيس التنفيذي لتقنية المعلومات، بنك البركة مصر؛ وأدار الجلسة المهندس شريف عزت – مدير الإقليم الاستراتيجي لقطاع البنوك والحكومة في Red Hat.وقدّمت الجلسة رؤى قيّمة حول كيف أصبحت البنوك المصرية لا تكتفي بالتكيّف مع التحول الرقمي، بل أصبحت تقود هذا التحول من خلال وضع معايير جديدة للابتكار والتطوير.
