Faculty of Computer Science Celebrates the First Batch of Continuing Education

The Faculty of Computer Science proudly celebrated the completion of the first batch’s program from the newly established Center for Continuing Education. This milestone event which took place on September 25^th, marks the success of the center’s efforts to offer advanced and specialized IT courses aimed at enhancing the skills of graduates, students, faculty members, and the broader community.  

The Center for Continuing Education was created with the goal of:

• Equipping learners with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in the fast-paced IT industry.
• Strengthening partnerships with international academies to offer diverse training programs.
• Bridging the gap between academic learning and market demands by producing suitable professionals.

In collaboration with global leaders such as Cisco, Huawei, and Red Hat, the center with three, equipped, state-of-the-art labs and certified trainers provided hands-on experience to participants. This practical approach ensures that learners are well-prepared to meet the challenges of the evolving IT landscape.

During the year 2024, the center launched several key courses, including CCNA, Network Security, CyberOps Associate, and RedHat Admin, with 50 participants from across the university successfully completing these programs. These courses provide essential skills in networking, cybersecurity, and Linux system administration, empowering participants to succeed in high-demand fields.

At the event, the center highlighted the achievements of the first batch of graduates, starting with the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) course, which prepares participants to gain expertise in networking. Next, the Cisco Network Information Security (NIS) program was presented, focusing on network security and cybersecurity fundamentals through its Network Security and CyberOps Associate components. The event also spotlighted the RedHat Admin courses (Admin 1 and Admin 2), which provided participants with the comprehensive skills needed for Linux system administration.

The event was a testament to the commitment of the Faculty of Computer Science to empowering individuals and fostering innovation in the IT sector.

في يوم 25 سبتمبر، احتفلت كلية المعلومات والحاسبات بفخر بتخريج أول دفعة من مركز التعليم المستمر الذي تم إنشاؤه حديثًا. يمثل هذا الحدث الهام نجاح جهود المركز في تقديم دورات متقدمة ومتخصصة في تكنولوجيا المعلومات والحاسبات تهدف إلى تعزيز مهارات الخريجين والطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والمجتمع بأكمله.

تم إنشاء مركز التعليم المستمر بهدف:

● تزويد المتعلمين بالمهارات والمعرفة الأساسية التي يحتاجونها للتميز في صناعة تكنولوجيا المعلومات سريعة التطور.
● تعزيز الشراكات مع الأكاديميات الدولية لتقديم برامج تدريبية متنوعة.
● سد الفجوة بين التعليم الأكاديمي واحتياجات السوق من خلال إعداد محترفين مرنين.

بالتعاون مع شركات عالمية رائدة مثل سيسكو، هواوي، وريد هات، قام المركز بتجهيز ثلاثة مختبرات حديثة حيث يوفر المدربون المعتمدون تجربة عملية للمشاركين. يضمن هذا النهج العملي أن يكون المتعلمون مستعدين بشكل جيد لمواجهة تحديات قطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات المتطور.

في عام 2024، أطلق المركز العديد من الدورات الأساسية، بما في ذلك CCNA، أمن الشبكات، CyberOps Associate، وRedHat Admin، مع مشاركة 50 مشاركًا من مختلف أنحاء الجامعة الذين أكملوا هذه البرامج بنجاح. توفر هذه الدورات مهارات أساسية في الشبكات، الأمن السيبراني، وإدارة أنظمة لينكس، مما يمكن المشاركين من النجاح في مجالات ذات طلب مرتفع.
