Faculty of Computer Science – Graduation Projects Expo Day (Artificial intelligence and Cyber Security Major)

On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the Faculty of Computer Science held its annual Graduation Projects Expo Day, celebrating the achievements of its graduating students. The event welcomed parents and prominent representatives from Egypt’s tech industry, creating a vibrant environment to showcase student innovation and receive real-time feedback from industry experts.

The day began with a keynote speech by Dr. Abeer Khedr, Group Head of Cyber Security at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Chair of the Cyber Security Committee at the Federation of Egyptian Banks (FEB). Dr. Khedr highlighted the growing importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital landscape and encouraged students to pursue innovation in this critical field.

Throughout the expo, sessions spotlighted standout projects in areas such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Over 40 companies participated, providing students with valuable exposure to industry expectations and professional standards.

Students presented their graduation projects at dedicated booths, where company representatives toured the exhibits, engaged with students, and assessed the technical quality and market relevance of the work.

A highlight of the day was the “Best Project” competition, judged by visiting companies. Projects were evaluated based on innovation, practicality, and potential impact, with the winning team receiving special recognition.

تم دعوة أولياء الأمور للاحتفال بجهود أبنائهم وبناتهم، إلى جانب ممثلين مرموقين من الصناعة في مصر. وقد أتاح الحدث للكلية الحصول على نتائج فورية حول المستوى الفني والمهني للطلاب ومدى توافقه مع متطلبات سوق العمل.

وقد ألقت الدكتورة عبير خضر، رئيس قطاع الأمن السيبراني بالبنك الأهلي المصري ورئيس لجنة الأمن السيبراني باتحاد بنوك مصر، كلمة خلال الفعالية أكدت فيها على الأهمية المتزايدة للأمن السيبراني في تشكيل مستقبل سوق العمل، وشجعت الطلاب على الاستمرار في الابتكار داخل هذا المجال الحيوي.

تضمن اليوم جلسات عرضت مشروعات مبتكرة في مجال الذكاء الاصطناعي والأمن السيبراني. شارك في المعرض أكثر من 40 شركة، مما وفر للطلاب فرصة ثمينة للتفاعل مع احتياجات السوق الفعلية.

عرض الطلاب مشروعات تخرجهم في مواقع عرض مخصصة، حيث قام ممثلو الشركات بجولة بين العروض، وتفاعلوا مع الطلاب، وقيّموا المستوى الفني للأعمال المقدمة.

كما أُقيمت مسابقة لاختيار أفضل مشروع تخرج، حيث قامت الشركات الزائرة بتقييم المشاريع واختيار الفائز بناءً على معايير الابتكار والعملية والأثر.
