Architecture Department contribution in MIU open day May 27th, 2022

Architecture Department participated in MIU Open Day held on Friday 27th of May, under supervision of faculty’s staff members:
Dr. Ahmed Helmy (Lecturer), Arch. Ayman Hany (Assistant Lecturer), Arch. Mirna Hussein (Assistant Lecturer), Arch. Hady Gamal (Teaching Assistant) and Arch. Karim Fahmy (Teaching Assistant)
It mainly focused on the following:
– Engaging with School students keen to understand the education process of the Architecture program in MIU, its facilities and graduates’ opportunities.
– Presenting former and present students’ work samples (Design projects, physical models, etc..) in the open day booth, through a tour in architectural studios and architecture students’ class activities on Campus.
Orientation and information about Architecture curriculum were offered by faculty representatives, Dr. Ahmed Helmy and Arch. Ayman Hany in the booth held in the Tent. Afterwards, they were taken into a tour through architecture studios guided by Arch. Mirna Farag where they could watch architecture students work on boards , banners and physical models.
The second tour destination was to the computer labs, guided by Arch Karim Fahmy to watch the outcomes of the architectural digital applications courses.
Last stop was at the Architectural Workshop and Actual Model, where Arch. Hady Gamal guided the students to look at the workshops and the rooms constructed physically by architecture students in their first university years.
