The Faculty of Al-Alsun and Mass Communication Supports the Inclusion of People with Special Needs into Society through its Fourth Annual Exhibition, in Partnership with Special Needs Associations.

In line with its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and the promotion of a culture of inclusion, the Community Service and Environmental Development Committee at the Faculty of Al-Alsun and Mass Communication held its fourth annual handicrafts exhibition on December 2, 2025. Coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the event brought together five leading associations devoted to the care and development of people with special needs: Bright Tomorrow Friends Association for People with Special Needs, Al-Sondos Orphanage for Special Needs, The Right to Life Association, Light and Hope Association, and the We Care Foundation.

The exhibition showcased a rich and diverse collection of handmade crafts, including high-quality textiles, intricate palm weaving, traditional carpets, bags, and woolen clothing. Three individuals with special needs displayed the products they had designed themselves.

As a direct contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 8 and SDG 10), which promote decent work, economic growth, and the reduction of inequalities, the Faculty of Al-Alsun and Mass Communication remains committed to leveraging its resources to provide a dynamic platform that serves the wider community. The faculty also supports the artistic achievements and economic independence of individuals with disabilities, offering them motivation and opportunities for full integration into society.

كلية الألسن والإعلام تدعم دمج ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة في المجتمع من خلال معرضها السنوي الرابع بمشاركة جمعيات ذوي الهمم

تأكيدًا على التزامها الدائم بالمسؤولية المجتمعية وتعزيز ثقافة الدمج، أقامت لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بكلية الألسن والإعلام معرضها السنوي الرابع للحرف اليدوية بتاريخ 2 ديسمبر 2025. وقد تزامن توقيت الحدث مع اليوم العالمي لذوي الهمم، وقد شملت هذه المبادرة خمس جمعيات رائدة لرعاية وتطوير مهارات ذوي الهمم، وهي: جمعية أصدقاء الغد المشرق لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، ودار السندس للأيتام ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، وجمعية الحق في الحياة، وجمعية النور والأمل، ومؤسسة “نحن نهتم” (We Care Foundation).
وقد ضم المعرض مجموعة غنية ومتنوعة من المصنوعات اليدوية، بما في ذلك المنسوجات عالية الجودة، وأعمال الخوص المعقدة، والسجاد التقليدي، والحقائب، والملابس الصوفية. كما قام ثلاثة من ذوي الهمم بعرض منتجات قاموا بتصميمها بأنفسهم.
وفيما يعد دعمًا مباشرًا لأهداف التنمية المستدامة للأمم المتحدة SDG 8) و(SDG 10، والتي تدعو إلى توفير العمل اللائق والنمو الاقتصادي والحد من عدم المساواة، تظل كلية الألسن والإعلام ملتزمة بتسخير مواردها لتوفير منصة حيوية لخدمة المجتمع بأطرافه المختلفة، كما تدعم الكلية الإنجازات الفنية والاستقلال الاقتصادي للأفراد ذوي الإعاقة مما يعد حافزا لهم على الاندماج في المجتمع ككل.
