For the first time, Al Ahram Regional Institute for Journalism offers a Distance Learning Training Program designed to provide the best hands-on experience to our students amid the precautionary measures taken to prevent the spread of Covid19 pandemic.
“As usual, Al Ahram Regional Institute for Journalism was delighted to organize 8 training courses for 106 students of the Department of Al-Alsun, Faculty of Al-Alsun and Mass Communication, MIU, this summer,” said Mr. Sameh Abdullah, Ahram Online Managing Editor, and Director of Al Ahram Regional Institute for Journalism
Al-Alsun students were able to enroll in 3 different training programs, at the Institute, namely, Online Journalism, Journalistic Translation and the Ahram Online internship. Mr. Sameh Abdullah, Ahram Online Managing Editor and Director of Al Ahram Regional Institute for Journalism, Mr. Hany Assal, Al-Ahram Managing Editor and Head of Foreign News Desk, and Ms. Dina Samak, Deputy Chief Editor and Egypt Editor of Ahram Online conducted the training through pre-recorded lectures and live video conferences, as well as practical assignments for the trainees. “We were able to do it successfully via distance learning, and that was one reason to feel proud, but to have 50 Al-Alsun students asking to learn Online Journalism, that was a big surprise and an indication that MIU students are different and not like others,” Mr. Abdullah explained. “Yes, Yes, you are different, your students are different and that is why we are delighted to work with you anytime,” he added.
