A Visit to Dar Masr Orphanage

The Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine conducted a field visit to Dar Masr Orphanage in Heliopolis on Monday, February 16, 2026. The visit was attended by the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, a member of the Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee, two supervisors from the Internship Training Administration, and 13 male and female interns.

The primary objective of the visit was to promote oral and dental health awareness among the residents and caregivers of the orphanage. An educational session was delivered by the interns, focusing on the importance of maintaining proper oral hygiene and demonstrating correct toothbrushing techniques. In addition, dental examinations were conducted for both residents and staff. Participants were also invited to receive further dental treatment at the university’s Dental Clinic Complex.

As part of the initiative, 70 toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste were distributed to residents, workers, and supervisors during the awareness sessions. The visit was carried out in collaboration with the World Dental Federation (FDI), which supplied these giveaway items. The university also contributed by providing essential food supplies.

Furthermore, surveys were administered to the orphanage staff to identify oral health needs, assess the effectiveness of the program, and evaluate overall satisfaction. The results indicated a 100% satisfaction rate. A separate evaluation survey completed by the interns also reflected a 100% satisfaction rate.

قامت لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بكلية طب الفم والأسنان بتنفيذ زيارة ميدانية إلى دار أيتام جمعية مصر بمصر الجديدة يوم الاتنين الموافق 16 فبراير 2026.

وشهدت الزيارة مشاركة كلٍّ من وكيل الكلية لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، عضو لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، و2 مشرفين من إدارة تدريب الامتياز، بالإضافة إلى 13 من أطباء وطبيبات امتياز.

وهدفت الزيارة بشكل أساسي إلى نشر الوعي الصحي المتعلق بصحة الفم والأسنان بين نزلاء الجمعية ومقدمي الرعاية. وقد قام أطباء الامتياز بتقديم جلسة توعوية ركزت على أهمية الحفاظ على صحة الفم والأسنان، مع شرح عملي للطريقة الصحيحة لتنظيف الأسنان كما تم عمل كشف على الفم والاسنان بهدف التشخيص لاستقبالهم بمجمع العيادات لأجراء العلاج اللازم للمقيمين بالدار ودعوتهم للعلاج داخل مجمع العيادات بالجامعة.

وفي إطار هذه المبادرة، تم توزيع 70 فرشاة أسنان ومعجون أسنان على نزلاء الجمعية. تمت الزيارة بالتعاون مع الاتحاد العالمي لطب الفم والاسنان والذي قام بتقديم لافتات ومنشورات التوعية وكذلك عبوات معجون الاسنان والفرشاة. وقد قامت الجامعة بشراء المواد الغذائية المطلوبة للدار وقام الامتياز بتوزيعهم.

كما تم توزيع استبيانات على العاملين بالجمعية للتعرف على احتياجاتهم المتعلقة بصحة الفم والأسنان، وتقييم البرنامج المُقدم، وقياس مدى رضاهم عن الزيارة، حيث أظهرت النتائج نسبة رضا بلغت 100%. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تم توزيع استبيان آخر على أطباء الامتياز لتقييم الزيارة، وقد حقق بدوره نسبة رضا وصلت إلى 100%..
