A Visit to Badr clinic Health Insurance organization
29 Feb 2024On the sideline of the celebration of the World Oral Health Day, The Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee, Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine organized a field trip for interns to Badr clinic, Health Insurance organization, Cairo branch, 5th settlement on Thursday the 22nd of February 2024. 31 males and females intern as well as a member from the World Dental Federation (FDI) joined the trip.
The purpose of the visit was to raise awareness of the patients of the medical center regarding oral and dental health and how to improve it. A lecture prior to the trip was given by a professor from the oral medicine and diagnosis department to the interns to inform them with information they need to know about the visit. An awareness session was presented by the interns showing the importance of tooth brushing and the proper techniques for oral hygiene.
The interns were supervised by the faculty staff members and the community service and environmental affairs committee members. FDI member distributed 300 toothbrushes and toothpastes on patients, employees, and workers of the medical center.

To discuss a cooperation agreement to provide community service in the medical centers and schools within the geographical area of the university to serve the largest number of citizens.
Questionnaires were distributed to the employees of El Badr medical center to determine their dental health needs and to evaluate the provided program and measure their satisfaction with the visit. Another questionnaire was distributed to the interns and staff members participating to evaluate the visit and its outcome.
The satisfaction rate of the clinic was 89%
The satisfaction rate of the participants was 80%
