A Visit to AlQaramus Village

The Community Service and Environmental Affairs Committee, Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, participated in the field trip organized by the university to the village of Al-Qaramus in Sharqia on Tuesday 21^st of May 2024. A group of female and male interns, Vice-Dean of Community Services and Environmental Affairs & Director of Internship Program from the faculty and a representative from the FDI joined the trip.

The interns enjoyed visiting the papyrus factory and learning about the stages of its cultivation and manufacturing. After visiting the papyrus factory, they went to the village health center to raise awareness for the employees and workers of the center both males and females, and the people of the village about oral and dental health and how to improve oral health care. During the visit, the interns presented the proper technique for tooth brushing. One hundred and fifty toothbrushes and toothpastes were distributed to the residents and caregivers. Also, they were offered free treatment at MIU dental clinic complex,

Questionnaires were distributed to the employees and caregivers to determine their dental health needs and to evaluate the provided program and measure their satisfaction with the visit and the satisfaction rate was 100%. Another questionnaire was also distributed to the interns and staff members participating to evaluate the visit and its outcome and the satisfaction rate was 100%.

فعاليات الزيارة الميدانية لقرية القراموص في الشرقية

قامت لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بكلية طب الفم والأسنان بزيارة ميدانية إلى قرية قراموص بمحافظة الشرقية بالإشتراك مع كليتي الصيدلة وإدارة الأعمال يوم الثلاثاء 21 مايو 2024.

وقد شارك في الزيارة السيد وكيل الكلية لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة ومدير إدارة تدريب أطباء الإمتياز والسيد مقرر لجنة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة وممثل عن الإتحاد الدولي لطب الأسنان (FDI) ومشرف من إدارة تدريب الإمتياز ومجموعة من طبيبات وأطباء الامتياز.

إستمتع أطباء الإمتياز بزيارة إحدى ورش صناعة البردي والإطلاع على مراحل زراعته وتصنيعه وقاموا بالتوجه للمركز الصحي بالقرية لعمل توعية للموظفين والعاملين بالمركز وأهالي القرية بصحة الفم والأسنان وكيفية تحسين الرعاية الصحية للفم وقد عرض أطباء الامتياز خلال الزيارة الطريقة المناسبة لتنظيف الأسنان.

تم توزيع 150 فرشاة ومعجون أسنان على أهالي القرية وتم دعوتهم للكشف وتلقي العلاج بالمجان بجميع تخصصات طب الأسنان في مجمع عيادات الأسنان بالجامعة.

تم توزيع استبيانات على العاملين والمتواجدين بالمركز الصحي لتحديد احتياجاتهم من صحة الأسنان وتقييم البرنامج المقدم وقياس مدى رضاهم عن الزيارة وقد بلغت نسبة الرضا 100%، كما تم توزيع استبيان آخر على أطباء الامتياز والمشاركين فى الزيارة لتقييمها وقد بلغت نسبة الرضا 100%.
